    I think that to boost traffic you could always purchase a couple of fiverr gigs such as backlinking, social bookmarking submissions, article submissions. Blog commenting is also another way to build traffic as is forum marketing.

    you can get your video ranked in the search engines, do keyword research in you niche and see what keywords you can target. Then make videos with that keyword and try to get them ranked by throwing some back links to it

    Perfect use of tags and description combined with hellll lot of backlinks with same anchor tags = best results.

    And yes, try to get internal youtube links by commenting on other related videos and channels. Also try video responses for similar videos.

    Try using social networks to promote your videos like stumbleupon, facebook, twitter etc. And you also must pay attention to the name of the video and the tags you put in. If the tag and the name of the video you are using has a lot of competition than it will be hard to rank on youtube.
