I am launching a wso soon and I need a paypal alternative. I no longer have access to my paypal account and I was wondering what else could be used?

It's an authorize.net - I'm in the same boat as you. I also recommend a back up of some sort.

Be warned, however...almost every WSO uses paypal - I would expect losing quite a bit of buyers.

I know that's what i was thinking as well. I was thinking of using 2checkout because they still allow paypal payments but I dont know if they will allow me to use their services for wso selling only

Hey Rob, did you get things fixed since your ordeal with PayPal?

I have a ways to go with paypal - legal stuff - but I've got the merchant account set up - I have already launched a special promo deal and my wife is mailing the individual links to all the clients so they get signed up at the proper date.

        We work fast.

The next step is to attract local businesses who would like the service, launch another product this weekend, possibly a second next week, and analyze where we can trim more fat.

I've just found a way to cut 500 bucks out of our expense budget that doesn't require firing anyone or cutting back on the quality of service. I'm sure I can find more if push came to shove.

That's awesome Rob... This whole PayPal thing might be a blessing in disguise after all.

          Keep rocking it...

I'm really thinking that Clickbank and merchant accounts are going to be the only trusted ways to accept payments soon with less worry about account suspensions.

I know the paypal horror stories are getting more and more frequent for those of us in the IM world but I sincerely think setting up a real business presence - LLC, Corporation, etc, along with a bank account, tax I.D.#, etc. will help you with paypal tremendously!

Lastly, read the paypal terms of service - you are not allowed to require "forced opt-ins" before the payment has been made.

I had a real business presence. Trust me, it doesn't matter. I had an EIN, business bank account, partnership paperwork, registered locally and with the state, etc. etc.

              Didn't matter.

I have created and established a LLC business and gave them all the information they needed but my account still was suspended and they didnt tell my why. They only said "your a high risk"

How about using a payment provider that uses paypal to collect payments without you actually having to have a paypal account. I think "Worldpay" and "Plimus" do exactly this, but i'm not positive!

Your best bet would be to go for 2checkout.com A well known brand.

    Google Checkout
    Plimus
    2Checkout
    Merchant accounts

I would highly recommend Google Checkout if you don’t want to go through the hassle of PayPal and their terms of limiting your account and never getting it back. Good luck
