I tried offering a service on Fiverr this week... and just hit $100!

In the past six months I've bought about a dozen Fiverr gigs.

I've bought a permanent link, had a video made, and hired someone to sing "I Be Strokin'" in a hot dog outfit! (don't ask - lol)

As a teacher approaching the end of my non-paid summer, I am a little short on cash... SO...

This week I started a gig on Fiverr saying I would rewrite one 400-500 word article for $5.

Now, there are many people on Fiverr who will write 1-2 original articles for that same price. I didn't know whether or not I would get any purchases for one rewrite, but it was worth a try, right?!

Seven days later I'm sitting here with $100 in my Fivver account! ($96 in orders - plus a $4 tip!) AND, all of these orders came from the same FOUR customers! (They bought one gig, liked it, and ordered more)

AND the best part is...

Two of those customers have hired me for additional work. One wants me to revamp his website. The other is paying me to add a post to her blog every day.

I thought I would post my Fiverr experiences here to encourage anyone looking for an easy way to make a few extra dollars.

1. Offer a gig that is something you can do well.

2. Enjoy the repeat business and extra opportunities!

      The same four customers proves that you write good content. I will have to remember to look you up on Fiverr when I need content. Keep up the great work! I mentioned today to someone else you can probably make great money writing and selling ebooks or short reports in different niches. Good content writers are hard to find.

    Fiverr is great for extra money but more importantly to make connections and get paid even more money, so you are using it exactly how it should be used. Much props to you.

    And $100 for your first week on Fiverr is great, for Fiverr.

    I think people don't get that it's just a way to get a little extra cash. It's not going to be worth it for those who already have a solid business but for part-timers and those new to the game, it's great. Glad you were able to rock it with Fiverr this week.
