simply answer they don't know how to pick the right niche and the right keyword, as well choosing kw that is to competitive they waste so much time on the content and backlink's and never rank site #1 after they give up on that keyword they go after another kw that is to competitive...you can not make money in big niches if you first don't succeed in small niches...as more experience you get in bigger niches you will go into..Just jump in and learn by trial and error in finding your own special style, etc. This is not paint by numbers no matter what you have heard...don't buying one after another IM product hoping that you will stumble across some short cut method to succeed fast it just doesn't exist,There is not way you can get it "right" the first time anyway....you might as well just dive in and get started.

I think a big reason is that too many people give up on their efforts before they see results. There are so many new shiny things out there and working without seeing any results requires some dedication and focus.

I know this is a struggle for a lot of people, and for me too.

Chose something and go with it. Work hard and keep working until you see results.

You can make tons of mistakes and still make money - But if you aren't doing anything you will not make a single dime!

I think the biggest mistake people make is jumping around and never giving anything time to work. They try one method for a couple of weeks and then try something else. Every time you do that you are starting all over. So stick with one thing long enough to get results.

Yes, and it is also very similar with MLM. People nowadays want instant results and gratification, and there are many CB products hawked by Gurus who give the impression that it can happen in a couple of weeks if not in a couple of days.

People spending money up front without learning what they are doing. I started my business by putting $100 into 6 months of hosting and 1 years website registration and doing everything manually. Article marketing, blog commenting, forum posting, directory submissions, bookmarks, rss feeds, etc. I did all by hand. I have never put anything but that $100 of my own money into this business and it makes me thousands every month now.

The huge benefit here is now that I have done everything myself, when I re-invest money I know for sure whether or not I am getting ripped off. For example, I pay a company $12 an article because I know that I will get the same quality as if I were doing it myself. People will always try to rip you off; don't let them do it.

I think there's a lot of people who really think they are going to get rich overnite without doing any work or putting any effort into selling their product. It just doesnt work that way, you have to work hard, put in the time, and be patient.
