Multiple domains on one host... help?

I've been trying to set up another domain on my existing host with godaddy.
But sine I'm fairly new to this I would like to know:

Should i create a new mysql database for the new domain?
(the new site is going to be made in Joomla, and the first one was wordpress, if that makes any difference)

    I would recommend that yes - create a new database.

    It is not necessary from a technical point of view but it helps a lot if you plan to move the hoster.

    Also a clear structure then when it comes to backup / restore a database.
