Hi Everyone,

Being a "newbie" internet marketing, I sometimes feel clueless where to start. I have a question about outsourcing.

When you hire someone to write articles for your niche, what information do I need to tell them. Iknow that I need to let them know the niche, keywords, word count, etc, but what else do I need to tell them to get my moneys worth?

A specific topic I suppose. When I hire writers they usually do a pretty good job on their own. If you hire the right kind of writer, and the know what they're doing, they'll know exactly what to do even with limited information.

Keep in mind, this is based on article writing. If you're hiring someone to write a sales page, they will need a lot more information.

Yeah I second that, I have a guy here on the forums who only needs keywords. He does everything and they turn out great. I pay like $2.50 for nice article, can't beat IMO. If you would like his handle drop me a pm.

        Hi Blillard,

I'm not able to PM as of yet, but would also love the contact info for your article writer. Please let me know how we can communicate about this.

        Thanks.

    First do your market research.

You can tell your writer to write about "X", but if your niche is not profitable..then what's the point?
First find out how big is your market. Their biggest fears, problems, popular products...why they struggle...

    Do your keyword research

Keyword research is more than picking few keywords in Google Keyword Tool. Google Keyword tool is for Adwords and people often think that low competition keywords there are good. No they are NOT! You can do good keyword research using Market Samurai. You can download it for free and keyword research module stays open even if trial runs out. If you want..you can always hire someone here in "Warriors For Hire" section to do keyword research for you.

    But first...research your market.

You should also let them know what webpage and product you're promoting.

People have given you some great advice.
IF you want to grab a great resource, check out the ebook in my signature. I have written one specifically on this topic and have added some other ebooks to make the packages even more attractive.
The book also has loads of sites where you can find work and workers.

When giving a job to a freelancer, you must assume they are dumb and know nothing. Give them every detail they need. They will ask questions if they need more info but tell them to ask as well. Some workers are too embarrassed to admit they don't know something.

There are a few writers out there who can take just a keyword or general topic and deliver exactly what you want. In my opinion though they are the exception and not the rule. Most people aren't mind readers, and if you want something then you need to let your writer know exactly what that is. Properly conveying your requirements ensures that you get what you want.

Oh and if you find that rare writer that gives you what you want with limited information hold onto them!!!

Try to look for writers that have a knowledge of the topic that you want them to write about. This way you're more likely to end up with high quality articles that have decent information in them and you won't have to give them much instruction.

Also, remember that when choosing who to outsource with, look at the feedback that they have gotten from others. There's no point in going for the cheap option if you're going to end up with rubbish articles that you'll have to change. Try and go for the writers with a good reputation.

the article should be like 450-500 words and most of all it should be original and not copy pasted.

Make sure to try different outsourcers before choosing one. Most likely you won't find a good writer at first but after some filtering you will find good workers

No, as long as the writer is good you'll get your money's worth. Just point out stuff that you want emphasized and they'll deliver it for you.
