Anyone Have Issues With Their Favicon?

Anyone have issues with having their favicon appear on wordpress?

I upload my favicon using the plugin Personal Favicon for wordpress.

It is a 16x16 pixel favicon with the .ico extension and under where to apply it says blog.

Its been a day and a half and I have no idea why I still dont see it...

Any ideas?

Thanks: The site is Free Phlebotomy Training Guide - Phlebotomy Training & Phlebotomy Certification Programs

Yeah agreed about cache...and there can be multiple layers of caching too depending on how your site is setup. First thing to do is delete your browser cache to see the change.

If you have a caching plugin installed in your WP install, clear that too of course

      Word of Advice:
When making changes to sites, always make changes in one browser, and refresh to see changes in another browser. In my case, I make all my changes to my sites in Firefox, then I check those changes in Safari (while in private browsing mode so nothing gets cached).

Hope that helps saves you the hours of frustration I've had during late night web dev sessions when I didn't follow my own advice

If the favicon is a G, then thats not the correct one, thats the old one that came with the theme, if it is something different, then it should be fine, but i've tried deleting cache and cookies on both computers my mac and pc, and im still not seeing it , it still has the G.

Your source code shows it's pulling from here: http://yourphlebotomytrainingguide.c...es/favicon.ico

Just ftp your desired favicon to that location and you should be good.

    Hi Ryan,

It appears you've got it fixed.

In addition to uploading and overwriting the current favicon (if one exists) like Amy suggested, you can always go to the header.php file and add the following piece of code under the "head" area with the "your URL" modified to where your favicon image is located:

    <link rel='shortcut icon' href='your URL' type='image/x-icon'/ >

    Best regards,
    Chris
