The best way to find business partners overseas?

Hi, everybody

I need some advice. Here's the thing... I'm looking for the best way to find business partner overseas who'd promote my online business to offline clients in their area. So, I was thinking to start with Craigstlist. But I'm not sure if I understand this... Am I allowed to post an ad in, for example, Craigslist Houston area even tho I live in Eastern Europe? Are there any restrictions regarding this? Or I'm allowed to do that as long as I post an ad only in one city? I know it might sound like a silly question but I haven't been able to find clarification on their website.

Also, could you suggest me some website similar to Craigslist? Most of those websites with free classified ads are filled with spammy offers so they don't look like an ideal place to advertise.

I'm also open for other suggestions.
Thank you in advance

You should aim at finding people on forums that you are committed to.

As far as your question about CL you will need a phone number and ip for that city/area you want to post that ad in the US or you will ghost miserably.

I would suggest looking at hire a freelancer, odesk, and other freelancing sites. I mean finding people is pretty much endless and easy.

Though the problem is finding people you can trust and that will not be found over night.

I would go for dripable's idea, that in order to fully familiarize your prospect business partner overseas, you have to make sure that he/she will have the same level of outlook in your proposed IM business.
That is to make sure that you two would have the same idea and concept in mind and would minimize the clashes of concepts. You can look for that "prospect" in Freelance, Odesk, Elance, basically to people who shares the same objective and business ideas as yours.

    Hi,
I am myself the manufacturer for Shaggy Rugs for UK and also an exporter. So my general work is to find customers overseas and sell them my goods. The best way to find them is search for the keyword related to your business, find the companies and mail them your offer. Thats what I do and it has helped me.

How about posting a JV opportunity in the JV section of this forum itself?

But don't just post a JV and wait, keep looking...

Have you considered to use a professional finding service, something like combinar.net?

I second Zuberr's idea of posting about your venture in JVs of warrior forum.Another idea,I can think of is to try some of those freelancer sites. You can just give it a try ,most of those sites offer free job posting.
