In the last couple days I've received an autoresponder series
from one of the biggest of the bigs... both addressed to...
"NoInfo"
WTF???
I know he has my name because he's one of the few people
who I intentionally sought out and signed up for his "newsletter"
Wanna know what's really funny about this? The subject of the
first email was good copy writing. Anyone see what the problem
might be with promoting a "good" copy writing course with copy
that starts out trying to be personal with the wrong name?
Yeah... that's an easy one... lol
OK... here's the real reason I wanted to speak with you today...
The second email from this marketer wandered down the familiar
path of "tips and tricks" for succeeding in today's market.
You've seen this, right? What USED to work isn't cutting
it any longer. Things change at the speed of light on the 'net.
What worked just two years ago... heck... even 6 months ago
is now obsolete.
The answer, of course, is to buy the new stuff... get the real deal... yada... yada... yada.
Did I mention that THESE PEOPLE ARE FULL OF CRAP?
HERE'S THE LISTEN UP PART...
If your business is built on "tricks" you will soon discover that
people catch on to those "tricks" and... yes... you will need to
learn new "tricks" every now and then or you'll be left in the dust
by the truly up-to-date tricksters.
OR...
You'll take a step back and figure out that human nature hasn't
changed in centuries... people still want to be better, faster, smarter,
leaner, prettier, wealthier and more emotionally secure than they
are now...
You might even figure out that offering these people HONEST SOLUTIONS
to their problems has ALWAYS worked and will ALWAYS work.
No "tricks" needed.
