New Fiverr? 10dollers

I got a message on Fiverr today about a site called 10dollers.com
You can offer your gig for $5 to $100 bucks.

Just thought I'd share, for those of you posting $5 gigs who may want more.

(this isn't my site and I haven't yet joined so I don't know if it stinks or not)

There are tons of Fiverr clones. Does this one offer any additional benefit or just a copycat?

Is it run by Fiverr?

If not, I don't see it getting huge. There are a lot of imitator sites that don't have nearly the kind of traffic that Fiverr does.

  haha yes, with an E. it struck me as odd too.
  I got it from a vendor on fiverr, he must be the owner just trying to promote.

I've gotten PMs like that before- its essentially spam for the dude trying to get you to his new site

There's so many of these clones around. Anytime someone comes up with a popular idea, all the uncreative sheep without a coherent thought in their heads say ... duh ... I'll clone that and be rich and famous too.

I'm not a legal expert, and Fiverr clone owners insist that it would never happen, but I'd personally proceed with caution. Some may be safe, however, I've heard that Fiverr may actually have a case against sites that use the "rr" in their website titles.

Think what you will of taking and employing someone's highly successful business model, however, to use the functionality of that site itself to promote your own rendition of their original idea....wow....not cool....

The irony, of course, is that if you just think about it for a few minutes you're likely to come up with a Fiverr-related idea that doesn't infringe on anyone's IP and that will (if you work on it) make you money.

I get these messages all the time its just a clone site using Fiverr to recruit gigs for their site. I post my gigs on them sometimes it can't hurt anything if you get a sale off of it.

Yep, there are a ton of clone sites out there like Fiverr.com - I thought about making one Thousander.com - The ULTIMATE service at a price to MATCH!

Somebody might as well acquire 00.com. Then, with subdomains, the following could be created:

1.00.com
5.00.com
10.00.com
15.00.com
....
