5 Articles AND 1 Sale -- Thank you Warrior Forum!

Hi there! I am so excited! I just got my first sale from one of my websites! This was accomplished through article marketing! And I am further excited because I did it with just 5 written articles in the niche!

I know this is only the beginning but I am sure you all remember your very first one, so excuse my excitement!

I would like to thank the warrior forum so much! Yes, I have been mostly a lurker, but have been taking everything in and applying applying! I would specifically like to give a shout out to Jeremy and Don from the internet marketers bootcamp! They are too awesome for words and were so instrumental in guiding me in the right direction! I am a forever customer for future WSO offers by them! They over deliver by far and offer invaluable info!

Anyways, I am excited and ready to keep pluggin away to turn one sale into two, two into three, etc.........

I do have a question, though. How do you know how many articles to write until you get a good consistent traffic flow? Any further advice or encouragement anyone can give me would be great!

I would keep writing articles until you start meeting your sales goal. Then stop and see if it maintains. I think its always good to keep on writing. The more the better!

      Louis,

THANKS! I used the one and only EZINE! I got over 100 article views in 2 days from one article! That was exciting! If only they could all be like that, huh?

I have yet to master direct linking, just used a sales page on a blog website.

I just hope I can keep cranking them out like that!

Wow! Five articles and 1 sale! Congratulations for a job well done!

I have 27 live articles on Eza with the following stats:
        • Article Views: 1,081
        • Profile Views: 190
        • Articles Published: 14
        • URL Clicks: 76

        And no sale yet.

I wish I knew what's wrong with the articles so I can do something to improve their performance.

Have you set yourself any future targets? If I were you i would and then keep writing articles until you hit those targets.

Did you use a sales page? a squeeze page? link direct to the offer?

I used a sales page. I have not yet figured out how to link directly to offer. No squeeze page yet, in the works though! I know how important it is to have one.

As far as targets, I think it is hard to know what to expect because it can depend on the niche and so many other factors. I wish there was a magic formula, so many articles equals so many dollars....... I think I will keep pluggin away and see what my results are every week and then set some goals. I plan to write ATLEAST 10 articles a week and see where that takes me.

I totally agree with setting goals, keeps you on track and focused!

  • I got my first sale on 8 articles, then a second after 8 more.

It is almost a bad thing to get a sale so quickly. I wrote an article last January and got 4 sales for $100 in the first two days. I couldnt duplicate the process so I gave up until last month. I expected that from EVERY article.

That is SO motivating for a newbie like I am! I have been doing this for 5 months with very poor results. I am researching and changing up my system so I can achieve success! Congrats to you. From what I have read, you can never write too mant articles. Just target great keywords with low competition and you are set.

        Congrats buddy,

        Just to give you an idea of the number of articles people write;

Sean Mize has 11,332 articles in EZA,

Steve Wagenheim who is a pillar in this forum has 1314!

The leader in Ezine Articles is Lance Winslow with 15,124.

Success with only 5 should tell you something, KEEP WRITING!

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement! You guys are great and have taught me so much, even though you probably did not realize it! Love reading all your posts. This place is awesome!

I will be posting my results next week with at least 10-20 articles per week
( I am adding two more niches to the batch so that will be 10-20 articles per niche per week, totaling 30-60 articles total.) Let's see if that will start to ramp things up a bit! I hope so!

So does anyone have an idea of how many articles to write per niche before it starts to go on autopilot? That is factoring in that the website it SEO'd and social bookmarking is done. I know it is hard to tell, but maybe a range?

If anyone is interested, got my 2nd sale today! Yay! It did take about 6 more articles in that niche though! I have 3 other niches that I have been writing articles for and nothing on them so far.

I have submitted only about 20 articles this week, below my goal, but hopefully I can ramp it up next week. I purchased Dragon Naturally Speaking and I am hoping on getting this soon. I hope this will help me to get more articles out there!

Hi, Kim! That could be one factor.

But what do you think about my articles' stats, if at all they tell you something? Are they good, are they bad? Should I be happy with them, or should I really worry about them?

You can write till you feel that the articles
are bringing in consistent automated income.

You can have a goal for the amount of
    income you want.

Let's say US$3000 per month per niche.

So once you produce enough articles to
have your target met, then you can move
    on to your next niche.

    My 2 cents,
    John

I got my first sale after exactly 5 articles also...I submitted my first 5 on the same day and got a sale the next. Published to ezinearticles only with my resource box linking to my domain which just redirected straight to a certain CB product sales page, just in case anyone was wondering. Things will only get better if you stick with it...good luck!

That is fantastic! ccmusicman tips are great - You could start 're-cycling' those articles by making audio recordings - creating videos of and submitting to video sharing sites (I have traffic geyser as well)

Do you have an opt in process for lead collection from that traffic - ?

          Congratulations!

Be careful because article marketing can get addicting when you start making residual sales.

To answer your question it's a good idea to write at least 30 articles per niche for testing. If your articles and niche are converting you can do what's called a roll out. As many articles as you can write or have written.

Good idea to build squeeze pages once you get rolling as well so you can keep your traffic going any time you want at the press of your auto responder button even if your article traffic stopped.

Typical articles get about 500 views. When you use a few strategies an article can get 1,000's of views and even 150,000 views over time.

          Cheers,

Keyword research? Highly responsive niche? Popular product? Something unique in your writing style? Humor? Controversy? Whatever you're doing, keep it up! All the Best, CP

I think it is a combination of yes, keyword research, but I believe most of the credit goes to the training I recently got at the internet marketers bootcamp! That was a WSO that I joined here from the warrior forum.

I think one of the most effective things is to make sure you give enough to entice the reader, but you have to make them want to find out more....

You need to give out some excellent info and lead up to the fact that there is a product to buy. You know, you have to lead them to the resource box, but at the same time without being overly commercial.

I think great titles are important. I try to use titles that are a bit controversial, and usually asks a question that is a bit intriguing. That has been my strategy thus far anyway.

I am not an expert by any means, still very much a novice, but the articles have been driving traffic, that is for sure. I just need to start pumping them out in greater numbers!!! I think that is what is going to make the sales keep coming in!!!

Well done! You've achieved a statistic that many have failed to achieve! The key is to keep writing consistently and then when you have a steady income you can start using you profits to make money faster with your business. I always use the program dragon naturally speaking to help me write articles quicker, write them at the speed of your own voice, and outsource as well to save you some time!
