Kindle Publishing E-book

Hi guys,

I´m preparing a few e-books to the Kindle Store but i would like to know the following:

1) Its necessary to have ISBN for each e-book? because it´s a bit expensive if im planning to publish 10-25 e-books and i dont know if i will get any success at all on this market.

2) What is your prospective of Kindle Market there is space to earn some cash or is completely saturated. I´m thinking about the SEO & Advertisement niche.

Thanks in advance,
Morg Anderson

You don't need ISBNs to publish on Kindle, they are optional. The Kindle market is nowhere near saturated. Last month they had just over a million titles and they've actually been cleaning house and deleting a lot of duplicate PLR junk. You're starting at a great time, in my opinion.

No you do not need an ISBN.
Do make sure that you are not using PLR. Kindle are actively removing them.
As long as you are using quality content there is no reason why you should not do well.

Is there any reason you haven't checked on Amazon?

The answer to your first question is here:

As for the second - that is likely to be a matter of opinion! You would think that all the popular niches are saturated - but still new books get published. The answer will depend on how good your book is - and how well you can market it.

    Hope that helps.

guys thanks for all the replies,

Since ISBN is not mandatory i will try invest on it. The content will be original so i believe i probably have a chance, but the question persists how can we promote e books in a store with millions of them? paid advertisement probably won´t be the goal since these kind of e-books are cheap and the commissions won´t be enough to pay advertisement or i´m wrong?

    Thanks,
    Morg A.

Yes, ISBNs are not necessary. Kindle will give you a free one.

Amazon are selling Kindles like crazy just now and have discounted the current stock by about $40. People are looking for something to read in their area of interest so this is a GREAT time to get your books on Kindle.

      Hi Morg,

Yes, just like others have already mentioned, ISBN's are optional for Kindle but are required for several other retailers such as Apple and Sony.

If you're at all interested in publishing to other retailers, it maybe a good idea to grab 10 ISBN's for a low as $275.

I hope this link is helpful - direct from the ISBN site:
