Singular or Plural Domain Name?

Is it generally better to have a domain name that is singular or plural. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out if I should have "Class" or "Classes" in my domain name.

Also considering using either "School" or "Schools"... but those keywords would be much harder to rank for.

I've been assuming that plurals are better because they (usually) have the singular name in them as well. How much does it matter in your rankings?

It depends on if there are searches for the plurals. If there aren't, then it's whatever would make more sense to your users.

I have to say, It Depends.

Often you would use the form with higher search volume as reported by keyword tools.

Otherwise the application probably would decide the ideal name, a "directory of" might be Schools, while a training site would be School.
