This Is What I Would Do - If I Could Be Bothered...

Hey Warriors,

I'm in a bit of a rut. I have an awesome product (well, I think so), but it's not selling as well as I hoped. So, now all of my time is spent thinking up creative ways to boost sales.

Therefore, I don't really have the energy for the little dinky projects, that would usually occupy my time.

It seems a waste, since I put a considerable amount of thought into these ideas and they may never see the light of day.

So here's a freebie, a list of my ideas that you can 'borrow' if they interest you (or if you can be bothered).

Idea #1

- Buy artastext.com (165,000 broad monthly searches for "art as text").



- Create a blog that showcases ascii art.
- Display a JPEG picture of each ascii art (named correctly) on each blog post to attract traffic from google images, with the actual ascii art posted underneath.
- Get some advertising on facebook for the latest 'facebook ascii art' trend.
- Slap some adsense on it.
- Enjoy.

I'll post some more if you fancy some ideas. Let me know.

It might be funny to see how quickly artastext.com gets registered :p

I promise it was available when I wrote this!

Maybe I'll inspire others to release some ideas that they won't persue?

    This is so funny you mention this. A friend of mine was just asking how to do ASCHII art the other day. Alas, this is also a project I don't have time for, but thanks for posting it. Hope someone takes you up on it

    Not a bad idea, especially if you could make an ascii art app for facebook, with a linkback to the app. Could go viral.

    if you change the keyword tool setting to "exact match"... it only gets about 110 global monthly searches...

      Yeh, probably should have mentioned that was on broad keyword results. Still, with some link building you could probably go for the higher searches?

        Plus that wouldn't matter much if you could make a good fan page and/or an app. I remember a few months ago everyone on my facebook page was turning their text upside down with an app, and every time they did it, the app left a link back to the app/fanpage. I don't see why you couldn't do that here as well.
