I wind up in the WSO area because.....

Upon my just looking, we have just over 800 people here in the main forum, and over 3k browsing the WSO's.

So, I want to know why the rest of you are still here and what prompts you to go into the WSO's .

Please answer the poll above as to how you find yourself in the WSO area.

Yes, should have put that on the poll.

But this can be broken down further. You reply to go look because the product recomended is for your business or is a MMO that catches your eye or because you are bored and want to go look?

My point... that number of current users is heavily inflated, by reasons other than people searching, and I don't think a very accurate reflection of ACTIVE people in the WSO forum at any given time.

Some people think it is... I don't.
Good points. But what I was wondering is what would make the rest of the people here in the main area feel compelled to go into the WSO area.

I should have added "I see someones sig link"

I rarely look at the WSO area. It's too noisy and most of the "Offers" don't interest me.

This is me, too. At this moment, I have 2 WSO's on page 1 (a new one and an older one I bumped). I want to offer excellent service and need to see when people ask questions.

The rest of the time, I am seeing what is exciting people, analyzing sales copy, etc. It is a great place to do research.

I also agree that number is not an accurate reflection.

I sometimes do leave wso threads open in tabs for days.

Also about the over 3k users online in the WSO area currently compared to 800 in the main forums, figure this - "1557 members and 5241 guests". WSOs are marketed outside the forum and thus the high number of guests.

I still wonder if a lot of people are actually on a lookout of hot offers. I get sales at random times for my WSO. And only a fraction of them came on the first day of its launch. I can however see that the dimesales here sell out really quickly, so there must be someone out their refreshing the WSO forums page every few minutes for that best offer.

Just having the tab open won't count towards the figure displayed for people viewing. The server has no idea if you have it open or not, it can just tell when you last hit the page and then uses a timeout to decide when you "left".

That's me. I've actually had a WSO seller email me after buying and ask how I bought it, because he had closed the offer. But because I had it sitting open for a couple of days, I could still click the order button and purchase

    Just so you know...

The WSO forum's list of who is viewing it "right now" uses a longer timeout than the rest of the board, which artificially inflates the count.

What this means to a WSO vendor is left as an exercise for the reader.

I enjoy reading the copy people are using to sell their WSOs. I look at what is converting well using the excellent affiliate section on Warrior Plus.com ...and read the copy people are using to sell their WSOs.

    It's quite an education.

I go in there for 3 main reasons:

    1. To specifically look for something my business needs.

    2. To look for new talent, whether it be a writer, graphic artist, or future JV partner. The last several WSOs that I've been involved with didn't even have my name on them.

Normally it goes like this: I invested in a WSO, really enjoyed it, and offered to JV with the product creator. No two deals are the same, but it usually comes with improving the sales copy since that is one of my core competencies (been at it for over 20 years). In most cases I add to the product, adding more value to it's next incarnation.

    3. There are about 6 WSO Sellers that I always buy from regardless of what they're selling because they always put out something good, meaning every single one of their products or service has grown my business in one way or another. Most of those 6 don't run that many WSOs so when they do come out, I'm all over it.

How I wind up in WSO area:

    - referral

    - using the search function looking for something specific and thread show a WSO title

-I am on someones profile scrolling their posts and I see a comment they made in a WSO

-I look at someones sig and it directs me to a WSO

-someone refer a WSO link in another thread and I click on it

I don't specifically go into the WSO section just to hunt products. Mostly I get product WSO offers through email and if it excites me I check it out.

The best part that I noticed and that interests me alot is that I can get good PLR offers here at WSO from top named experts at ridiculous price. I have purchased few PLR stuff and even videos and seminars out here that could be easily sold for 200 bucks for dirt cheap under 10 bucks, this is really cool.

And the best part is that you get these kind of stuff on regular basis. Also the best part that excites me is something that can easily fit into my sales funnel or my existing system and that can boost my existing sales within a short span of time. There have been experts recently I have bought WSO's from that share scripts, conversion tactics and some high level seminar footage that can be applied to my existing system in minutes and see the difference instantly.

And you can get access to such content dirt cheap that would normally cost you 200 bucks to purchase directly from that expert. This is really cool.

I am another that leaves certain WSO tabs open for long timeframes.

That said, I rarely have the time anymore to go into WSO forum simply to browse. I usually wind up there through an affiliate link; I browse new WSOs (by title and author) on W+.

I used to only look in there when I was looking for something specific and used the search function because all the hype puts me off browsing. Lately I've clicked on emails and looked and bought some, but I'm going back to my original way because I ended up with too many things that I didn't have time to do anything with.

I end up in there because I am interested in the latest marketing tactics people are using to make money. I admit I have been caught up on the next 'shiny object' and information overload. It's hard to weed through who is in there to make money and who really wants to help people succeed. Well they are all in there to make money but it I can hope for both aspects.

Just so you know, the info in this thread is just as good as the WSO. Sometimes even better. Shhhhhh dont tell em. lol.

My main point really is that - everyone and newbies keep searching for the holy grail.

But guess what? its not there, there is no secret, or holy grail to making money online. Its just take a ship load of testing and good old fashion elbow grease hard work to get stuff done.

if those peole spent the same time in the WSO browsing to get off their ass and do articles, videos, get a JV to help out, or built a list..... you know proper business practices....then they would not have to keep going back into the WSO section.

Its the vicious circle of the WSO buyer.

    1) Spend hours surfing and buy up a few

    2) Read and dont implement

    3) then if in doubt go back to STEP 1 again.

There you go, do not get caught in this trap. :-) And you will see good results, and have a business that no one can take away from you.

I am there from time to time because I have always heard about how someone put up a WSO and made a fortune with it and I hope I can somehow learn something from the some of the successful sellers there and achieve something similar for my future WSO.

I also like to guess which one is the real deal and buy them if they can contribute to my existing business or help me to launch a new project with proven step-by-step method.

Litmus test is the real deal will not post a lot of WSO's. Those that post a lot of WSO's prove themselves to be earning money just from selling WSO's.

If you keep on adding new poll answers then its a never ending process.

    Here are few more:
    1. I was checking 'Other posts by this user' and found a WSO by him.
    2. I visited someone's site and found that I can get 50% at WSO so I'm here.
    3. I found it as WSO of the day.
    4. I found it in banner ad.
    etc. etc. etc.
