Terminated Amazon Affiliates - What did you do?

Hi,

Recently amazon terminated many affiliates from several states. I was wondering about what happened to their amazon affiliate sites. Is there any way to keep your account?

If I am from a terminated state , what is the best way to sign up with Amazon?

Can I join by giving the name and address of my relatives from other state?

I am planning to develop an ebook about amazon affiliate marketing. I am concerned about customers from these states where amazon affiliate marketing is not allowed. I have to deal with a lot of refunds.

Is there a solution for this problem?

    Few days ago, I received a warning from Amazon regarding my published kindles.
    They said, if I've duplicate ebook with them, they will terminate my account (whole Amazon account, including my Amazon Associate).

    Regarding which state involves in Amazon termination account, what I know is California, I'm not sure with other state right now.

      Many affiliates in affected states have either sold or repurposed their websites. I do know that a significant number of California affiliates have incorporated in other states and continue to do extremely well, if not better than ever before. If you are in a nexus state, you perhaps should seek professional legal counsel for incorporating. There are few, if any, sustainable other options for affiliates.

    I sell an Amazon course. I use GEOIP to identify customers from the US, then serve them a screen that notifies them of the problem, lists the terminated states and makes them confirm that they're not residing in one of those (or that they still wish to buy).
