What is the best way to make most out of your blog post in terms of getting traffic to it that REALLY works for you (not some theory you read online)...and please be specific!

      Two tried and true approaches
      1) article marketing - submit articles to article directories like ezine and at the end of the article link to your blog
      2) forum marketing - have a signature that contains a link to your blog so that every time you post, people see your link.

        Offering something which people want and need. It is essential to find a niche which has strong demand and minimal competition. If you can find that, then it will be much easier to rank for relevant keywords.

    Look at other similar blogs and post comments on those blogs and be sure to leave your blog URL in the URL/Website field. Sometimes, they will allow links in your comments and if so be sure to leave your blog URL link in your comment as well.

      Make sure once your blog post is complete and ready, submit it to some major sites,

      Twitter
      Facebook
      Google+
      MySpace (Yes, still relevant)

      And social bookmark it like crazy:

      Reddit
      Digg
      Delicious

      And remember to set up your blog to ping major blog directories.

      If you can automate this process you're even better off. By consistently doing this you will build a following, and also search engines will take notice of your new pages even faster.
