De-Risking your internet business

In the real world i've had a fair bit to do on business continuity/planning in case of disruption to the business etc. This normally takes a look at what catastrophic events could impact the business and then building some mitigation.

Online the same rules apply - would love to hear how everyone manages this - obviously regular backups of sites are important but what other tactics do you employ?

    Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

    Multiple hosting accounts, multiple IP addresses, different styles of websites and income streams.

    Diversify everything that you can, and spread everything out. Make sure you seperate your websites by IP address and also do not use the same google accounts on multiple websites.

    Keep everything as separate from everything else as possible.
