Hey guys, what the f is up

I have always been waring of the Fiverr offers offering to place a link on huge twitter/fb pages. Has anyone ever done this and did it lead to a decent traffic surge?

I saw a gig that got me hundreds of Facebook page likes, which isn't bad for five bucks. I've actually started offering the service myself on my site, as I know I can just get it from that guy.

Any chance you can pm me the service? Regular services nowadays seem to be way too much over priced. I might need to start something for a musician friend of mine so that would definitely be useful.

I don't blame you for being wary of gigs that offer the world...It can sometimes be worth the gamble. Even if the gig turns out to be a dud, at least it was only $5 spent and not more...!

I think Fiverr has become a little bit of a victim of its own success.
The premise is good but there is a feeling that for $5, it cant be that good and there are a lot of rip-off merchants on there as its seen as a good 'make a quick buck' site. Even for $5, you can still ask to see examples of their work.

There are good, genuine people on there, but there are alternative sites so spread your net wider to catch more fish. :-)

I tried one of the services and got me around 1000 likes to a fan page. As expected, I did not get any coments or any other likes at all...

It is obviously fake... even with 200 fans in one of my other fan pages I get like 4 or 5 comments every time I add a pic, a video or just a status update.

I tried another service that was going to post my offer to over a million fans... guess what, I got abot 1 like (from the gig's owner!)

In my opinion, stay away from it unless they offer GENUINE friends TARGETED to your own offer or fan page...

I have tried facebook and twitter advertising through fiverr and received absolutely no clicks in some cases!... Could be my crappy ads, but you would think at least a few people would have clicked????

most of the time, it's will be dud
    it's like gambling.
even though it's just $5 but multiply it by many times, it can hurt your pocket

Yeah I would rather build my fans the hard way, at least I'll know that they are real and active. You would have to think that they're selling this over and over again, maybe the fans are tired of that seller hitting them with new pages to join if that's the case.
