I am wondering if anyone has experience with a millionpixel advertising site running in either wordpress or on a plain old php site.

Does this still work as a business?

    It depends how many people you can get to that site. Get a million people to it and you will make a fortune

    A viral marketing campaign could do it I guess, but if I knew what to do of course I'd do it myself

    It seems to me that it was a fad that worked while it was the first of a kind. Just wondering if there is anyone running such a site today successfully.

    It could work again, the success of that way back when was execution. Because it was new, it was easy to get buzz.

    Get a new twist that goes viral and there is no reason it cannot work.

      Thanks! Have you seen such a new twist? I have been looking for a while, but it looks to me that the best people come up with are localized versions of milliondollarhomepage, like "dutchmilliondollarwebsite". :rolleyes:

        Believe it or not, I just created a pixel site of my own. Remains to be seen if it'll be a success or not.
