Giving Back To The Forum- My 1000th Post

While I reached my 1k just under a year and what a time it has been and in true warrior forum fashion instead of going on about me I thought I would offer some advice and words of wisdom I have learnt over these last 10 months.

Remember the words you type on this page may well outlast you. Think of how you want the future to see you. Do you really want your grand children and great grand children stumbling across some not so nice posts?

Don't forget about now either. The way you act or don't act here can have many implications in your business. Your words can very well affect the way others are willing to interact with you. Do you want to brand yourself a thief that no one would ever partner with or would you rather have JV offers beating down your door?

Post counts, and all other external things really aren't the measure of a persons worth. There are some members with thousands of posts I would never work with and others with very few who have proven themselves in their behaviours in this forum. It is your own judgement call, don't leave it up to the numbers to decide for you. Make your own judgements as you make your own posts, both can build your business or destroy it.

Try giving more. The more you give the more you will recieve. Okay it's a little cliche, but it doesn't mean it isn't true. The person you help today may very well be the person tomorrow that sends your whole business through the roof.

Don't forget the little people once you make it big; after all, at some point you were there too and I am sure if someone didn't help you in one way or the other, you wouldn't be where you are now either.

Remember you are a guest here. Allen allows us this wonderful place, it is not a right, it is a priviledge and remember priviledges can be revoked without any prior word.

Build your relationships here and hold them strong. I mean really, that is a key factor in this business. Without relationships you may never overcome your next plateau, or your next obstacle. If you have no one to turn to, evaluate why. Is it because you are only a taker, or is it something else? Change it before it stunts the future for you.

And remember that most of us are here to build a business, really think of how your actions are building it or destroying it. Are you just in it for the few short bucks you get riding on someone else's coat tails or are you building an income, a future for yourself.

Most of all have fun. Life is too short not to. For all you know there is no tomorrow so live today as your last.

Thank you all for being a part of my life and my business and thank you again Allen for this wonderful place of yours that so many of us call home.

May 2009 be the best year for each and everyone of you and may you forge a new friendship or relationship on this wonderful forum each and every day.

    That's good stuff!

I remember your inspirational post from around July 5th. Because of that, I decided to hang around WF and try to give back in my own little way... here and there.

I hope you have TONS on conversions this year!

Okay I am bumping this back up because after much of the behaviours and mannerisms that have come out of this forum in the last little while, a few really need to step back and realize how the way they are behaving here is really affecting their business and those around you.

I will not let your negativity infiltrate me, but there are others here that are not so strong. There are new comers entering this forum at every minute and I would hate to see them steer clear and lose out on the true potential that this forum has to offer for the negativity that is abound of late.

And my closing comment, and one I am sure many of you have heard before IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. This doesn't mean you have to shut your mouth when you disagree, just simply to shut your mouth if you have nothing of value to add or conntribute. If all you are saying is being said in spite and hate, just be quiet, take it somewhere else because every comment you make is ruining the forum for others. Bring up your disagreement to what is said but don't make it into a hate fest. Show your point of veiw WITHOUT diminishing others for theirs.

Just my thoughts and I didn't want to jack anyone's thread or start another, but I think the points I made in the OP really need to be considered by a great many who walk these halls.

To everyone whether you agree with me or not, I wish you the best year.
