Do we submit original or unique contents to article directories?

I always wanted to know if it would be better to submit unique contents to article directories than using the original articles in our sites and submit them?

Which is the best practice? Kindly advise.

Thanks.

Theoretically, submitting unique quality articles to article directories should pass more link juice to your site than syndicated articles.

      This is completely wrong.

The amount of link-juice one can get from an article in an article directory is not somehow, magically, altered according to whether or not the content to which it's attached has previously been published!

All article directory backlinks are non-context-relevant, PR-0 backlinks (regardless of the articles' quality, regardless of whether they've previously been published elsewhere, and regardless of the page-rank of the directory's home page - which isn't where one's articles are published).

It would make very little sense indeed to give any article directory the initial indexation-rights to one's articles.

Article directories - contrary to widespread and totally mistaken belief - do not require previously unpublished content.

In this important and helpful thread, a whole succession of experienced, professional, successful article marketers explain all their shared reasons for always publishing their articles on their own sites first, having them indexed there, and only then submitting them to article directories.

If you're trying to build up your business (rather than an article directory's), and your website (rather than theirs), publish your work there first, and ensure that you're the long-term beneficiary of the accumulation of all the initial indexation. Otherwise you may end up with a website which can't even outrank article directories.

Thank you so much for the beneficial advice.

So at the end of the day, do you recommend unique articles or original articles to be submitted to article directories? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed that if I submit original, unpublished article to article directories then the article tends to rank better in the search results and has better syndication rate as it is more visible to possible syndicators. And also people who come to my niche sites through the article resource box don’t have to read the same article again on my website. The benefits of submitting original contend for me seems to well outweigh the little extra expense. But I suppose that you can also do quite well reusing the content of your website.

Thanks. I believe we should submit 100% unique contents to article directories then.
