Also paste it onto the posts of members of your groups.

I've saw some reviews on making a fanpage with lots of fans. The main part of it is to get all ur intro, product overview, background etc. to be filled up. This could be a part of the SEO for the fanpage. Just a thought tho. After all these, u need to get ur friends to support ur page, as this will make ur friends friends to join in too Hope this helps :p

What I'm doing is that I create giveaways where those whose going to join needs to like my Facebook page/s in order to get more chances of winning. You should try that.

Provide entertaining/funny pictures, videos, articles that will get people interested when they visit your site. Post often, when I say often at least once a day.

Rest of the time join other groups similar to your niche and post comments, and provide good feedback. Be consistent, and also do this on a regular basis.

People will naturally be curious if they see you posting frequently and click on your link sending them back to your fan page. If you have great value and entertaining content there, they will Like your page.

Use facebook as your fan page, then go comment on relevant fan pages, like peoples posts, etc and they will come back to your page and some will like it. IOf you stay consistent you can start building up momentum like this

Best way is to run a giveaway or a contest, give something away related to your niche and have it fan gated. Also if you have a small budget running even a $5 a day ad to it works awesome. You get the likes and also since there signing up to get something in your niche your going to get a targeted email list.
