Hello Warriors,

I am building a new site to promote Amazon products. This is the first time that I try to sell Amazon products. Any help what products I should pick?

Well the best advice to give you is some very basic outlines to follow

1.) Pick products that $150 up.

2.) Try think outside the box a little, everyone does electronics and there are thousands of other great products with less competition.

3.) Make sure monthly EXACT search volume is as high as you can find, but nothing less than 3000 unless your either looking at brand new products or its a more expensive product. (this is a basic outline to follow there are cases where you can accept way less searches)

4.) Look on Google Trends to see what Hot searches there are, and if you can match a product to it.

5.) check the NEW release section and Best Sellers and top rated on Amazon for ideas

6.) Use Google keyword tool and randomly search for products, if you punch in something it gives you all sorts of permutations to look at, and you will be surprised at the results, I have found many a gem by just using this tool and all I go by the number of searches and then look up the product once i have found one that has decent searches and an exact domain available.

7.) Look around your home you will be surprised at how much stuff you have lying around that can give you ideas for products, not only that, but if you own the product you can make a real honest review.

8.) If you have a mail order catalog in your home nothing better and sitting and sifting through it browsing at the products, this is another great way of finding products and much quicker than doing it online.

9.) Next time your out shopping grab some of the free flyers and promotional flyers I just did this at my computer shop when getting my computer repaired and found some real good products to promote.

10.) Subconsciously train your mind to be always on the look out for new products or products you could promote, when you train your mind to do this you will start seeing hundreds of products and opportunities all around you.

Recently on a flight to Kualar Lumpur I found some products in the inflight magazine, I also had a conversation with a neighbor who sold furniture and I asked what was her best selling item, turns out it was a Great niche with around 5000 exact monthly searches.

If you focus on it you will see so many opportunities you wont be able to do them all

    Good Luck

    Kickin it on Amazon

Actually, I am considering to sell high ticket items, like LCD screens, which are more than $1000. Do you think that this is a good strategy? Will it convert?

They can do, make sure you sell them via the US and not UK. Amazon cap the commissions in the UK

The only thing I would point out is if you are looking to do a price comparison site, then they work (make sure you have good content) but i found different retailers can have slightly different model numbers which makes , producing a price comparison a little tricky

but yeah, does work as people trust Amazon as many discussions here also talk about

I would not recommend setting such high ticket items first..Go for something above $150 like somebody mentioned earlier..

    Hey Farouseh

i haven't ventured into the amazon market as yet because i am new to I-M and need to learn more. However if you are a War Room member there is a great video course in there about researching amazon products by Gaz Cooper He really knows his stuff, if your not a war room member maybe try and get on Gaz's email list he seems to know what he is doing with Amazon products.

when i do venture into this market i will be aiming for products between $100-$200 and build up from there

I would have a good search around all of the categories apart from electronics and motor and look for more obscure items which have a price of $100 - $300.

That way you will have a lot less competition when trying to rank the site with your review on it.

Electronics such as tv's and xboxes and such will have stiff competition. Dont try to take a small chunk of profit from a massive market.

Aim to take a large profit from a smaller market, then once you've got the first one earning move to the next review.

    Hope this helps,
    Stephen

Not an expert by any chance, but if you're making a site for >150 products, might as well spend a little time creating another for low <$50 priced niche as well to pad the sales total so you'll get a bump in commission rate. It's easy selling 50-100 more items for low-priced products compared to expensive ones.
