Make Money From Gardeners Not Marketers

Lately I have seen so many WSOs teaching how to sell WSOs and most of them are named something like "xxxx$ in a day no website, easy doable for newbies.... etc."

I have nothing against it in general, but why would you encourage complete IM beginners to start selling in one of the most if not the most difficult niche- MMO ?

Even if they implement every step in your WSO, what could a complete beginner teach people ,who have been around here for ages?

Let's say I decide to make a WSO without knowing anything about making money online, so where do I get all the information I could sell? Google it or rewrite some PLR or something like that. Do you really think it would be something new for most of the marketers here ?

No wonder MMO niche has such a low reputation ,with all the spam and rehashed material.

Now there is 1 thing, which in my opinion could change your product from "another guide, how to sell WSO" to a really helpful material.

FORGET ABOUT WARRIOR FORUM AND WSO SECTION ,

Don't teach people to sell WSOs , inspire them to find a niche they know something about. FORBID them to sell their product on WF ,unless they are not new to MMO niche and have anything unique to offer from their own experience.

Here is a simply plan I just thought about:

Let's say I love gardening and know something about.

1. Find forum about gardening. ( I got really lucky and found a great forum for my example (I am in no way affiliated with this forum, I just found it on google searching for "gardening forum") I will use Gardener's Corner - the only Gardening forum you will ever need - Powered by vBulletin as example)

2. I looked at the forum and at the first glance I see 3 great opportunities:
  • It is being monetized with adsense, which means we can create banner campaign targeting this site selling your product/services. (You dont have to pay 100$ like on WF, but bid for click, so you can test for a while to see ,how good conversions are and if it's even worth it. Plus I have heard that you get cheaper clicks on banner ads )
  • There is a sections like: for sale/ tools and equipment and few more, where you could offer/sell your product to gardeners.
  • And my favorite section- "WANTED" , people are telling you ,what THEY WANT TO BUY. It doesn't get much easier than this, you don't have to do any promotions or anything. They are ready buyers, just find what they want, and sell it to them with profit.
And there are dozens of forums just like that in any niche. I used this just as example.

Just find a niche you know something about and monetize it. Don't teach others how to make money if you don't know how to do it yourself.

P.S. Sorry Allen for scaring people away from WSO section

So you think people should find problems in a niche and provide a solution to them? That's so 2009!

I understand pushing people away from the MMO angle but the solution provider can still create good products on the WF without having to make claims of how much money they make. Whatever they choose they should market ethically.

Your example of the Garden forum does show that there are a stack of opportunities out there though, but a gardener will be just as annoyed if you sell them a guide to growing roses that has no solid foundation.

Great tip. It is true people are making a killing outside IM. Thanks for sharing. I have tried niches that are not IM too and have been very happy with the results. You can find some very passionate people on the relevant forums. Try big boards to find such forums. IM is still very good so don't give up people.

At the time of this reply, there are 'currently 4313 viewers' in the WSO forum.... more than ALL other sections combined. The 'attraction' of the 'opportunity' is there.

It reminds me of driving at night in California going over the Grapevine on HWY 99 and seeing the billions of bright lights as you come over the mountains into Los Angeles. For me, I always think "opportunity", while someone else in the car thinks, "too much competition". Not that either one is right or wrong, or that one will make more money than the other.

As long as there are that many eyes looking for that 'shiny opportunity', anybody and (almost) everybody will at least think about creating a WSO and their chance to 'make it big'. The nature of MMO I think.

    Just a thought...

1.) The niche isn't really that difficult. The market is rabid.
2.) Plenty of people can offer a good WSO (writing, graphics, back linking, etc) to make money without having had to become a 'guru' banking a million a minute...
      3.) It's 'new' to someone...

Great example with the Gardening niche...

Just goes to show - old school tactics like forum marketing sure do work

I think forum marketing is a great method if the niche will allow this technique...

But I agree with Dani - you don't have to be a "guru" (in any niche) to create a good product...
