Okay so I started a blog in a low competition niche, and I worked really hard for about two months on it. From about March-May is when I put the most work into my blog and driving traffic. I stopped working on my blog because I was feeling hopeless. I was making a little bit of change from the adsense ads on my site, but not my Affiliate CB product I really wanted to sell. I still check my CB stats hoping to see some money but I wasn't seeing much except for a few hops a day.

Over the several months of letting my blog run on it's own, I am getting a constant 2-4 hops a day. The other day I checked my stats and I had made a sale of 16.50. I've gotten about a total of 100 hops since I started the blog. So for 100 hops, making one sale is pretty good I guess. I'm not sure if it was just luck or if I will be able to make more sales.

I know that I need to put more work into my blog to see real results, but now that I saw a sale I am more motivated to keep working on it.

I am not bragging that I made a whopping 16 dollars but I am excited to see that I can actually make money online, especially if I put more work into it.

How many hops should I be getting a day? My traffic has slowly increased on it's own and I get about 30-40 visits a day. How much traffic should I be getting to see my product really convert?

For those who haven't made any money yet, don't give up! It is possible and if I would have continued to work on my blog in the past three months instead of being lazy, I might have made more sales by now.

Its easy to feel hopeless when you put effort into something and don't see the results we are hoping for.

    But.....

Congratulations on making your first sale! Now you have your own proof that you can make it happen! Stick with it and keep moving forward!

    Thanks!

Does anyone think it's possible to have made just a lucky sale? Or do you think that if I made a sale with 100 hops that I could make more?

I'm going to start working on my blog again and driving a lot more traffic so hopefully I can make more sales. I also have an idea for another blog that I think will be much more successful.

      First...

      C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !

      Second...

Did the person buy from YOUR affiliate link? Did they click the link on YOUR site? Did YOU have a site where they clicked the link? Did YOU do something to get them to visit?

Do you really think it was luck?

      I don't.

You worked hard, you had a site and drove traffic to it. You then had it monetized and somebody purchased through your affiliate link. That's not luck, my friend...but it still feels pretty darn good, doesn't it?

      All the best,

Either way, if I come to find out it was just a lucky sale I could always switch up products. I guess the only way to tell is to increase my traffic and keep building content.

    Thanks for the encouragement

    Great job.

Surely if you were lucky once, you could be lucky a number of times?

Difficult to say whether you sold because you were lucky or you sold because you had a website that is designed to sell (not what you think will sell, but has the attributes that are seen to be frequent in sites that do well in sales) without looking at the site. But there is a great chance that you did not sell simply because of luck. Let the sales process keep going on and you shall know soon enough.

Money can be made online for sure my brother. Why else do you think there are so many Warrior members who have lasted for so many years? If there was no money to be made online then pretty much every new member would stop in 3-6 months or whatever it took them to give up.

Isn't that proof? So keep heart.

That's very true. I have a very hard time to stay motivated though. It is difficult, especially when you fail more than you succeed.

I think now that I made this one sale, it has deffinitly motivated me to stick with it more. I know that when I see sale #2 and sale #3, it will only be more motivating! I know I have what it takes to be successful. I am already tired of following everyone elses footsteps and working 40 hours a week underneath of someone else. and I'm only 21 years old so I know that I need to take action now in order to make things change.

I want to control my own destiny!

Congrats on your First Sale. That feeling never gets old. There is no such thing as a lucky sale when you planted the seeds and bore a fruit from your efforts. There's always things you can do to increase traffic and conversions but what you've done already was enough to get that sale. Keep educating yourself and keep working at it. Congrats again!!!

    Great Job buddy!
Do not continue to worry about it being a lucky sale...
You simply put in the work and reaped the benefits! the customer viewed
your product(s) and wanted to purchase...something about your page attracted that person...
Continue to improve and focus on your audience and they will tell you want they want...

Side Note: There is a book called The Slight Edge By a guy named Jeff Olson
He speaks about the little things we do that adds up over time which gives us either a positive result or a negative result...with you being kinda new it will help out alot...its a fantastic read...you probably can find it on amazon or Ebay...

Congrads once again dude! Be encouraged!

Congratulations on your first CB sale and you've broken that initial physiological barrier. It will probably give you more motivation to look for other avenues like Amazon, CJ, Affiliate Window, Tradedoubler who have physical products which have less commission but are easier to sell.

Oh man, that is such an amazing feeling. Congrats!

Keep going! If you're averaging 2-4 hops per day, I would suggest you try out other niches. Don't abandon your site, but you'll notice that certain niches, when you apply the identical traffic strategies that you did for this one, just seem to get more traffic.

And the more sites you have going, the more likely you are to start seeing those magical sales every day!

    Keep going, and congrats again!

    sale #2 has come

total sales from my blog in 1 week is $32.10

It takes three months to make one sale, but I have somehow managed to make two sales in one week. Unbelievable. I am shocked to see I have made another one in such short time.

It works if you work it I guess.

I know how you feel man... Some time ago... I was pushing this one product called, 'Affiliate Prophet'. I made a couple of review sites... and created some videos, and some great content. I drove traffic to them over and over again. But nothing happened.

I really put a lot of work into those two sites. I also had people check them out and they said everything looked good. But nothing happend for for two months. And I got discouraged and forgot all about those two sites. Then about 2 months later. That's a total of about 4 month's since the site went active.

The one day I was checking on one of my clickbank accounts.(I have several)
It was an account that I didn't really use that much. When I loged in, I was in Shock... there were a bunch of sales.

Huh? What in the Hells going on here? Where did all those sales come from. Then I checked the product.... And Yep you guessed it. It was from 'Affiliate Prophet'. The websites that I gave up on. It was quietly making sales all by it self.

That taught me a very Valuable lesson. Never to really give up on something. Because it might just need a little time to get going.

So now that you've made you 1st sale, it's time to go back and start to test, test, test. Tweak, Split-Test and Tweak.

    Once again congratulations.

    Congrats on your first sale.

Re your question "how much traffic I should be getting" : what is your target income (daily or monthly)?
Judging from your currents stats, you have a conversion rate of about 1%. You haven't told us if different sales can bring in different amounts of money or if every sale gives you a standard income, so I'm going to assume for the sake of argument that each sale you make brings in $16.50.
Now with a 1% conversion rate and a per sale income of $16.50, you can easily work out how much traffic you need to hit your target income.
If you are aiming for $30/day, then you need about 200 visitors/day to make two sales (and actually be a little over $30).
If your daily income target is $100, you need about 600 visitors/day for 6 sales. And so on.
Also keep in mind that conversion rates can often fluctuate up or down, so you may need to review your traffic projections from time to time to match your conversion rate, always with the target income in mind.
    Good luck!!

There is no such thing as LUCK; you just get what you deserved. You work for it, so it is just a prize for all the hard worked that you've done. You can still open more niches that will help you in advertising your product so it can reach to potential buyer.
Think what you really want to your product and try to make a target on how much on each day you really want to earn.
