posting comments about a niche that you dont know

Hi warriors,

Niche marketing is a good way of earnig good money but the problem is,mostly we dont know anything about the niche. We just enter this area just because of it's profitability.

I followed this step and found a niche market. But couldnt write anything, post anything to forums etc etc.. because i dont know what to write.

How do you handle that?ok maybe you can outsource article writings but how about the others? Its not possible to get the whole traffic just using article marketing. You have to use forums, blogs and etc.

I tried to do niche marketing in niches where I had no interest at all, and they all failed.
I have had only some success in niches that are interesting to me. You have to be interested in a niche you work, imo.

I also discovered that, which is not to say I never used niches I didn't care about. I just hired other people to write the content in bulk. Now I buy articles for everything, too busy to be writing hundreds of pages. If you find that you can only write about things that are important to you, you might want to try making an authority site for whatever topic it is and putting everything into one or more of those, with a personal touch so your visitors can tell it's really you doing all this stuff. If you do that sort of thing, your effort will be appreciated by your visitors/customers.

Edit: Bryan beat me to it, totally agree with him

Jopex made a good point. If you want to produce content and promote the site on your own then being genuinely interested in the niche is a must.

That said, absolutely everything can (and should) be outsourced. If you can spot profitable niches, set up the site and manage the marketing aspects then there's no sane reason to still do all content generation etc. yourself - just get people who have what it takes and concentrate on launching new projects rather than wasting your own time creating content.

Yeah, totally been there, ideally I hire someone on an hourly basis who can do the articles and stuff. You can also hire forum posters if you can afford them, but at some point you do gain enough knowledge by just researching into the niche itself.

In my opinion, spamming blogs or forums with non-sense just to spam your signature is not OK at all...

If you're able to develop a niche website in the first place, how can "having enough information about the niche to make comments in forums and on blogs" be such a problem? I'm not quite with you, here. I could understand your not being able to produce a suitable website and material for your autoresponder series, through lack of knowledge about a niche (in which case either choose another niche, learn it, or outsource everything), but to have the problem specifically over "forum comments" and "blog comments" puzzles me ...

I agree that blog commenting and forum commenting in the niche can be a valuable source of backlinks and traffic, if you know what you're talking about and can make comments that genuinely add value ... but how can this be such a problem if you've been able to produce the basics that go before that: a website and all the autoresponder emails to go out to your list?

    But for the record ...

    (i) There are actually people here with 7-figure incomes who are precisely "just using article marketing" and doing no "commenting" at all;

(ii) You can outsource blog-commenting and forum-commenting, too, if you really want to (I admit I wouldn't be at all comfortable doing so, myself - but there are people who do).

Whenever I embark upon a niche of which I have absolutely no knowledge, I begin (of course) establishing the 6 most relevant keywords/key phrases I shall be using. I set up Google Alerts for each of those 6 keywords/phrases "in quotation marks". Just doing this brings me notifications daily of matters tightly associated with those keywords.

When writing, I also utilize Web Content Studio and (if I'm really stuck), Instant Article Wizard. NOT, to write content for me, but as tools to place relevant facts pertaining to the niche in front of me. It's amazing how quickly you can learn a niche doing these three things.

The key is to find a niche about something you know, at least a little bit. I am sure if you looked around your house you could find something as simple as diapers for birds lol.

Stick with something that interests you. If you find a profitable niche in something that other people love but makes you fall asleep, you cant possible expect to make an impact.

Thats why these socalled overnight Niche cash machines are misleading. There is a lot of your time needed for research! That becomes a lot easier and natural if the you enjoy the niche or at least like it.
