Dear Warriors,

I am going to get straight to the point, do you add you post/content articles to a subdomain or another category on your main website?

I think it depends on the kind of site and your personal preference. Subdomains allow for a shorter URL: "articles.yoursite.com" vs. "www.yoursite.com/articles" vs. "www.yoursite.com/articles.php" I hope this helps.

Add your post to a category. Google page rank flows down, not up.

    Examples:

    google.com/articles
    articles.google.com

Search engines treat google.com/articles as the same site. Linking to google.com causes some of the page rank to flow into the articles directory.

articles.google.com are treated as different sites.

OK, this is very helpful, so could I now, as I already have about 7 or 8 posts in my categories box, move these to my blog.mydomain.com address? Will that impact my website negatively?

Google webmaster help has your answer

Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.

IF you've already got them posted and linked, moving them and changing their URL will start the process all over again. You'll also have to setup a 301 re-direct so you don't get hit with Google 404's. You want to stay away from subdomains and stay with directories if you want to achieve a high PR eventually.
