Commission Junction Sign Up: What kind of website to show for approval?

Hi guys,

I am finally creating a Publisher (affiliate) account in CJ to promote some physical products. At the sign-up page, it asks for my website. I am wondering what kind of site could I show them. Would a simple, 3-5 page site with general information about a market suffice? Once approved, I intend to make several small sites to promote products in that market. Anything I should be particularly careful of?

Also, I heard unlike Clickbank, CJ publishers are individually approved by merchants. So again, do you need to show the respective merchants your sites (catering to their particular markets)?

Thanks!

I think a simple website would do as long as you have some content and as long as it's unique. Don't bother too much when applying, if you can't get in just ask why and show them another website

  • Keep it simple. You can even give them a blog. It doesn't have to pertain to what you are trying to get into CJ for, just something decent. I got into Peerfly pretty easily with an email telling them everything I knew they would ask anyway. Next day, I was in.

Don't sweat it too much, just a basic site with good content. CJ isn't known for there rigorous approval process.

I got in a year ago with a Squidoo site, so any basic site that's yours will do for sure.

Also, I don't think that merchants see your site at all; it's just for CJ to see that you're serious.

What kind of website do you have? Does the site have content?
