Best Support site options??

Hi All,

I want to set up a universal support site for all my products. I'm wondering whether to put the os ticket software in a subdomain of my main site, such as support.carlpicot.com, or have a dedicated site with a domain name such as carlpicotsupport.com.

I will upgrade to Kyako when I am able to.

What would be the best option do you think??

Many thanks

Carl

  • I don't think it really matters where you put it. If you don't want to pay for another domain name, just create a sub-domain on your existing site.

  • I use hesk: Help Desk Software HESK - a free PHP help desk and a dedicated .com domain...

How do you find this Mark?? Is the software easy to use? Did you ever get any issues with support software? Have you tried using any other support software?

    Many thanks

    Carl

    • I've never had an issue using it, works perfectly for me... my help desk

You will get notifications when someone submits a ticket, you answer them, and that's it. If they have several questions, you can have an ongoing conversation using the same ticket.

I put together a PDF which shows how to install it: http://www.box.net/shared/static/196xxu8oq9.pdf
