Traffic for a Deal Finder website

Hi there ppl.
We recently launching apparel deal finder price comparison website (kinda like thefind, pricegrabber, nextag etc). Only difference is that instead of focusing on comparison (since there is not much going on when it comes to clothing) we gonna be showing best deals based on sale price amount and stuff like that and strictly APPAREL. Well enough lyrics... I can PM a website name if interested...
Now before we launch I'd like to come up with a marketing strategy on bringing as much targeted traffic as possible... as far as budget we r quite limited so gonna work with what we have.
Here is what I think:
  1. We have a blog (2-3 udates a week)
  2. Emails (we have a captured list) as well as some reliable databases (2M)
  3. Traffic buy. Never used that before. Something like visitor boost (they claim that they have pretty quality traffic)
  4. A bit of social network
any other sources to buy traffic u can recommend?

btw its all prior our launch of affiliate program which we planning to start in a couple of months.

Goal is to get 2-3k UV a day to see how traffic converts. Of course preferably somewhat quality traffic (no adult, gambling, pharm...) just a mainstream.
Later on we gonna be hittin fashion-shopping blogs directly but for now thats all we got.
If anyone has any suggestions on how where to get traffic from other sources of share his/her own experiense I'd really appreciate it.
Im a new here as u can see...
anyway you all have a great day and thanks for reading...

P.S did anyone ever tried to buy tweeter tweets or fb news feed posts from major celebs accounts? I mean ask them to mention about ur site since they all have hundreds of thousand followers... how much would that cost?

  • Buying traffic is usually a waste of time as they only give you junk traffic if it's even real, and it won't get you any sales. Try using mobile advertising. You advertise in cell phone apps. You can do it pretty cheap, and you can target people pretty specifically. Go to google admob, and you can create an ad campaign.

Ideally you'd either buy PPV traffic from related urls or direct banner buys on shopping-style blogs

might have to reconsider buying traffic its just that they claim to bring quality traffic filtered by niche and category...
