Information Site - Micro Niche Site

Can someone please explain the difference between an information site and a micro niche site?

    A micro niche site could also provide information.

    Micro niches are easier for an operator with limited resources to get ranked in Google, by focusing on just a few keywords in a narrow field, whether the site directly sells a product, sells information or provides affiliate links to online stores it still is a micro niche site.

    I'm not sure if an info site implies they sell information or may just be article collections as well.


    Information products by the way have little or no cost, making them a profitable field.

    An information site is any site with information as the primary purpose. A micro niche site is typically a site that focuses on one small part of a larger niche. It is an information site, but so is Wikipedia, but Wikipedia is not a micro-niche site.

    You might have a site about photography equipment and that is a niche site. If you build one about flash techniques for photographing flowers, that would be a micro-niche.

    If you have a site selling Vivitar Flashes, such as an Amazon site or store site, then you have a micro-niche that is not an information site.
