why people are moving to plimus?

I see a lot of product owners are moving to plimus instead of clickbank.

why is that? Do you have an idea about this?

ClickBank has a reputation for sketchy products and even sketchier affiliates. I know that's an unfair broad brush (and I sell and am a ClickBank affiliate), but the problem is there are so many bad ClickBank affiliates.

No fees to get a product approved.

Flexible template options to customize the purchase experience.

Easy to implement redirects after a purchase, plus emails, plus putting someone on your list.

    Lower fees.

    Ability to accept PayPal.

Control over which affiliates are promoting your product.

    Setting different affiliate payouts.

    Coupons.

    Set your own prices.

Easy to implement different pricing options for different product versions.

Not having the same reputation as a haven for serial refunders.

Real customer service - who actually will personally respond by email, even offer to go over options live by phone.

    - Where feasible, I've been moving everything to Plimus and I have been much more profitable as a result.

Hopefully the horde of spamming idiots that ruin every service they touch will stay away.

Many of these same characteristics apply to FastSpring as well, though we tend to be the most selective in terms of the products we are comfortable selling so that can be an issue with certain products.

CB is a sinking ship. Hulled by it's own crew and overweighted by fly-by-night "Gurus".

FastSpring - welcome to the forum.

Earlier this year I was looking at potential processors and the two that were at the top of my list based on advertised features were Plimus and FastSpring.

I opened nearly identical accounts to sell the same product at both places.

Plimus came back quickly with setup information and then it was extremely easy to add additional products.

FastSpring was much slower, an account approval email was an incomprehensible mess (possibly because it was not formatted right for someone received text email), and when I logged into my account it was not as intuitive on what to do next, or how easily or quickly I would be to add additional products - and whether I had to use the same marketing name to sell those products.

I'm sure you will find that feedback helpful. Due to the ease of use with Plimus I have kept using that service.

FastSpring, as I recall, has an interesting option for branding pdfs to help reduce theft, or something similar, and that is a feature I may explore with the service in the future.

As an affiliate, the immediacy and anonymity of promoting such a wide diversity of Clickbank products is enormously attractive.

There is nothing that could be conceivably more annoying than having to wait for "approval" by each vendor or putting up with their spammy promo emails such as Plimus allows.

Clickbank also provides isolation protection from potentially scheming vendors who may seek to exploit affiliates' marketing methods and/or lucrative niches.

Perhaps the real reasons some vendors are leaving - Clickbank has enhanced their marketing standards and vendors are searching for easier ways to pluck their affiliates.

Marketers and vendors are looking to sell products to make money. It is hard enough looking for profitable products to sell and even harder to create products that sell. Why add to the stress with all the stringent (and unnecessary) approval processes?

I use Plimus to sell and I do not use affiliates. It works very well for me. Best of all, Paypal payment acceptance and the absence of those lousy serial refunders who always look for ways to get info products without paying a dime simply take the cake.

I've finally found a few CB products that my traffic likes but the refunds are becoming painful. Hundreds of dollars a week POOF up in smoke. I'm sure that is one major reason people are finding alternatives.

How are the results compared to Clickbank? does anyone know? I honestly have not tried it myself, but I am very much interested in possibly giving it a shot.
