Do you have the patience to be successful at this?

It's an honest question, one that you should be asking yourself.

I think a lot of people show up here looking for "push-button" profits. I don't really blame you either. A lot of us push the "magic pill" in our sales copy, and those that do it, do it because it works.

It's not different than any other niche. I tell my readers on a daily basis that they absolutely NEED the pair of high heels I'm pitching that week. I talk about how they are going to FEEL wearing those shoes. I understand my market, and I effectively promote in it.

That said, there were many months when I first started where nobody would listen to me. Getting people to sign up for my list seemed so difficult. Sometimes I thought, I could make more money working a part-time job at Subway than spending my time marketing to my "market."

If I didn't have the PATIENCE to see my plans through, I would've never made a dime in this business. Marketing, in and of itself is not a fast moving thing. Brand building is certainly not an instant gratification process.

It took me almost a year before I made any headroom. There were a lot of mistakes. As I said earlier today, I had to juice myself in. Learn the ropes and make those pennies to earn the dollars I do today.

And I'm not here to brag. Certainly not. I'm here to help any struggling beginners out. I, as well as many others, understand your tunnel is very dark right now--especially if your new.

To make matters worse, when your new you have this tendency to move from one project to the next, not realizing that your tunnels stays perpetually dark. Your making movement, but its not upwards, its sideways.

That in itself is a double-edged sword, because while you jump from one method to the next you continue to LEARN new ideas, concepts and techniques. At the same time you squander yourself into a hole, not realizing what you are doing until you step back years later to see the big picture.

So PATIENCE, my fellow marketers, both new and experienced, is what separates the successful from the failures. It could be SEO, it could be split testing different copy, it could even be going after three markets at one time... the bottom line is, that without patience for your action-plan you will fail.

I hope so, since I have been in the Internet Marketing for quite some time and I could say that I have restrained my "impatient" side of me, which is for me to say. I was informed when I was new to the IM business by my mentor (although I forgot his name) that when you decide to enter into the IM business, you need to change your mindset and try to extend your patience. I really agree with the concept that there is no "push button" for success, whatever the niches or profession that we will make.
I have been earning some decent amount in the Internet Marketing but I started earning after 3 months that I started joining the IM business.
Hence, I would like to say that my patience is cooperating with me on this.

You do have to be very patient in the beginning of your IM career. The one thing I do to keep me on track of my goals is to have posters or images or reminders where at all possible. So if you have a goal that you want to earn $50,000 for that dream car, post pictures of the car everywhere.
