Hi Warriors!

I'm under orders to get my first product put together to start building my list.

I don't fancy using PLR or paying someone to make it for me. I've also been told and have read in numerous places, this forum included, that a Skype interview is the easiest way to go about creating your own product.

So, what's stopping me? Actually finding an expert to interview!

I want someone who's been there, done it and is still doing it...

... I'm just a little unsure to how to approach an expert, or rather, a busy businessperson.

Also, I know there are interviews going about now, lots of them asking the same thing... "If you where starting out today, how would you build your business from scratch?" ... now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that question/theme, but I'd rather my product was unique. I'm just unsure as to what spin I could put on it. Any ideas?

Also, what incentives could I offer the expert in order to entice them into becoming my interviewee?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Jamie!

P.S. If you're an expert in the IM (List Building preferably) niche and you're looking for something to give away to you list (our interview ), don't hesitate to PM me!

Check out the JV section and see if you may be able to start a joint venture with someone. Tell them you will interview them and do the leg work and split the profits. Most experts want to be interviewed. It's like free advertising for there business.

Nice one Michael I'll head straight over there. Sounds like a good plan.

      Thanks!

I don't actually have one yet, that's the point of this post. I need an original idea for interviewing an expert. When I have my interview, then yes I could ask people to review. Thanks for the suggestion.

Vlad Romanov? The Hearts Chairman on the Warrior Forum? Haha!

Surely you're just a Hearts fan?

Or am I totally wrong? Haha!

            Really? Lol!

My apologies... the Vladimir Romanov I'm familiar with is the chairman of a Scottish football (soccer) team called Heart of Midlothian (or Hearts). He's famous here in Scotland for being a bit of a maniac. Firing players and managers for no good reason lol!

Anyway enough rabble from me, I've got some interviews to arrange!

            Thanks for your input.

    Hey Jamie,

    Congratulations on taking action!

One of the best ways to get an interview, is a way that I'm sure that you are already aware of. And the reason why I'm mentioning it here is because maybe you just needed to see it, read it, and hear youself say it as you read it.

(And if you haven't heard of this method, Here you go...)

I'm pretty sure that if you've been in the IM world and on this forum for a while, you have purchased a lot IM products. Take some of the products, look through them one more time. Now ask yourself, "Which ones have I used?" and "Which ones have I had any... I do mean ANY RESULTS with."

Now make a list of those products and the product owners email address. Think of the topic of your interview. It's time to write the emails.

I don't want to put words in your mouth but the email should be focused on what benefit that the product owner will get out of doing the interview with you. I can't go into great detail here but here is an example.

    Example:

Subject: You Have Another Successful Student

    Hey (Interviewee's First Name),

First I just wanted to say thanks a lot. I just love product or products XX. (They will say, oh he's a customer, he's on my list. This brings them closer.)

I took product (XX) and did this and that with it. (Your Success story or results)
(If you can mention more. Keep it short.)

I was thinking... and thinking... How can I give back... and this Is what I came up with.

You know People Love Case Studies. You always keep it real, and I know that you are constantly looking for ways to provide your Customers with VALUE and Inspiration.

I'm taking you're advise and attempting to move out of my comfort zone. I am setting up some interviews. It would be really awesome if we could put one together. The interview would once again put you in the minds of your people. And help to block out some of the other noise that they may be getting from other sources.

Also, it would allow them to hear from a third party; Who Is Not a Guru, But, ONE OF THEM... and help solidify on an internal level, that YES, THEY SHOULD CONTINUE TO BUY FROM because, YES, YOUR STUFF DOES WORK! I know I will Lol.

Of course this will give you more VALUABLE CONTENT. I think it would be a WIN-WIN. What do you think?

You get to continue to BRAND yourself in the eyes of your people. And I get to Interview my MENTOR.

I know that you are an extremely busy person... so just let me know when would be a good time to setup the Interview, and I'll be happy to work around your schedule.

(Notice how it is focused on them. Also notice how you are already assuming that they are doing the interview.)

    Thanks (Interviewee's First Name)

    Keep The Awesomeness Rolling.

(Your First Name Last Name & Email Address)

    End of Example:

Now I know that the email copy looks a little strange, with all of the Different words capitalized. But the people that you'll sending the email too. See hudreds of Email a Day, and you'll notice that you can't help but look at the words that in capitals. Your Email will be different from the norm.

Also if one of there support people get it before them, they might just send it through because it kind of a testimonial Email. As well as a soft solicitation.

    Anyway,

    Hope this helps

    OOps,

I almost forgot. Just remember... If you send your emails out and get no reply. Just remember, the people that you are sending them to are busy. So, just wait 5 days and then send the same email with (Same Subject w/ OOps added the end.)

Then at the very top before the person's name you put.
"Sorry, I didn't know if this got through?"

Thanks, but I actually don't have it yet. Lol

I'm just waiting on some, or even just one, of the people replying.

I've never heard of RAP bank to be honest. Is that vendor site like ClickBank?

Interviews are a great idea and a great way to not only make a product, but to actually make relationships! I have met and become friends with many top producing marketers simply by interviewing them for a blog talk radio show that I used to do.

These interviews not only offer value, but I gained so much that money cannot buy from these new found friendships that started out as a simple request for an interview.

I just finished a product this week myself. I asked a well known internet marketing guy for an interview, he stated he did not like to do phone interviews but would be willing to do an email interview. I sent out the questions late this morning and got my answers back mid-afternoon. No incentive, just asked. Who knows maybe I was just lucky!

Here's something I would do which will obviously take some work but the results can be amazing. I would recommend taking 10 quality PLR products in your niche and create an autopilot sales funnel in your autoresponder system. It will contain lets say 3 to 6 emails per product, so you will be having around 60 emails in your autoresponder selling 10 PLR products.

You can change the name of the products and make it unique if you prefer.

Now setup an affiliate program and provide 100% commission on the entire 10 product funnel to your JV partners or affiliates.

Now you can approach an expert in your niche and ask them to do an interview with you. Probably you can ask them to share a complete case study on the success he has achieved in your niche.

And now you can offer them minimum 60% commission on the interview product and 100% commission on the entire 10 product sales funnel. This will act as a powerful motivator for the expert to do JV with you. He might even go about sending a mailing to his entire list about the inteview product. The best part is that you will be collecting customer leads at the backend and make 40% sales upfront from the interview product.

Now you can do whatever you wish with the customer leads and sell them high ticket products in your niche and make big money at the backend. I am personally in the process of setting up this kind of system with a unique twist with a massive 50 product funnel for my JV partners. Hope this helps...

What have u tried so far?

Get in contact with me at my blog through my email thing! I can't link here or send PM's yet. But maybe we can help each other and learn together and then share our experience??

    - Why not tell us SPECIFICALLY what kind of person you want to interview.

I ASSUME you want to interview some type of internet marketer
    but
maybe you'd interview someone who runs another type of business.
If so - PM me and I will set you up with a dynamite interview.
