Hi friends,

Another weekend has arrived. I feel good because the week passed with several goals achieved. No untoward incidents occurred. My team completed their tasks well and beyond expectations. Love their diligence and commitment.

The main motivating factor that made us work hard is, we all know our project direction very clearly. We have visualized the sort of results we want. And we know, to accelerate results, we must enhance knowledge.

There is not a day that we didn't learn something new. Be it errors, how to overcome errors, the fastest way to complete a task and the sort of steps to maintain quality. And we jot all of them down in what we call as "the report card". It is a sort of "template" that each of us maintained and refer to. We bring them to our discussion sessions everyday at 4.30pm. Then we prepare on what needs to be done the next day.

This week, we learnt that ALL ASSUMPTIONS ARE WRONG until we can back them up with facts, experience and knowledge.

I usually end my week by posing 2 questions to myself:
- What have we achieved so far this week
- What we should achieve by next weekend

" The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience and ability. " - Henry Ford ( 1863 - 1947 )

Have a nice rejuvenating weekend !

Great thoughts ... very in tune with many of the Project Management strategies I use at work with my team

And you hit it right on there with what the goal setting/achieving part there ... if you set goals, but never follow through with them, then they really aren't goals ... you have to measure what you've accomplished with what the original plan was and then move forward on how to continue

    Very well thought out!
