How Do I Make Better Income From My High Traffic Site?

I have over 2,000 daily unique visits on my website (www.omavo.com) and my major source of revenue on the website is google adsense.

The daily earnings is quite low, I get about 2euros daily which I think is quite small for a site getting over 2,000 unique with an average CTR of 0.3.

I added Amazon banner ad sometime last month, I'm yet to see a single sale.

What could be the reason for this, is there other sources of income to look out for?

    Your site is targetting people looking to create blogs and forums, why not offer a free guide on how to make their blog or forums better or how to make money with them, you make them sign up with their email.

    Send them helpful emails on how to make their blog or forums better, and use affiliate links to tell them about helpful products that would be beneficial in some way to their blogs or forums.

      Great tips, never thought about capitalizing on the over 23,000 accounts on the websites. Most are no longer coming to the site. May start a program to educate them on how to make money using their blog.

    definitely have an opt in and collect names and emails, like stated above offer something valuable, treat them good and you will be making money.

    I like all of the ideas previously mentioned. I would add to that being add a groupon or living social ad to the local pages. Those coupon or group buying ads are totally targetted to local settings so I think that would work well.

    if i were you get rid of the adsense ads, its just not worth it.
    you need alot of traffic to get paid very little.

    you should checkout clickbank, commission juction they will have tons
    of affiliate offers you can use.

    i rather get $50 per sale then make 0.50 cent per month with adsense.

    i really think you should get rid of the adsense ads.

    Look for CPA (cost per action) and for CPM (cost per mille = 1000 page views) networks.

    There is a CPA section at the warrior forum; go there and learn more about this matter.

    You will make money with CPM ad banners whenever 1000 visitors will simply see a banner at your side, without taking any action.

    CPA offers are very good too. You are paid whenever someone subscribes or accepts a free offer, without buying anything.

    You can also have Ad Jungle ads and choose the ads you want to be displayed at your website.

    Try a different network like linkworth that offer various ways to make money from a single site.Also you can work with buysellads to sell ad space from your site to make some more money.

    I like Rough Outline's point. You can study if a lot of people aren't filling out their blogs or setting up their forums. If so, they may need instructions on how to do so. You also can have some articles on how local businesses can get more exposure using the internet.

    Collecting emails from your users is the best way to go.. After you have a good list, market that list via newsletters, coupons or affiliated products that would be of their interest..

    While I'm sure you can monetize your site in ways other than adsense, I think there is some optimization that could be done with the placement of your adsense ads. I bet if you put ads right under the title of the articles you'd get better clickthroughs.

    I want to know what I can add around my pages as they are actually targeted to local businesses. The major part of my website right now is targeted to local businesses also website reviews.

    I need some ideas on what I can do to retain my traffic and also want to sell affiliate products to make better income.
