Wikipedia War? Unfair Attack?

I was checking my competition's backlinks the other day, and I noticed a competitor of mine had a backlink from Wikipedia.

Although I believe it's no follow, I checked it out anyways. It was a wikipedia article on the profession of what my site is about.

When I looked at the external links at the bottom, I noticed, 3 backlinks to different sites (that are my competition) using anchor text.

I decided to include the anchor text of my site (it differed from the other 3) and i posted my link at the bottom of the list (not at the top, nor did I alter or delete anyone else's links).

The update was immediate, and of course, when I went back to check the links today, all of them are gone except one site thats not mine.

Am I mistaken, was the website owner just being a jerk, deleted all his competitions links, and just left his.

Should I even bother worrying about this?

Just curious for your feedback.

Thanks,
Ryan

    Don't waste time... at all.

Wikipedia editors are mercilessly deleting all the self-serving links. (I know, I used to be one of them - we had special pleasure deleting spam links, LOL)

Yeh, I probably won't mess around with it too much more, I just saw a wikipedia topic that fit my topic perfectly, and decided to put an anchor link to my site like the other site owners did within my competition. I'm still kinda surprised that guy deleted everyone's and put his own, but oh well (I'm pretty sure it wasn't the original writer of the article).
