I have set up a new rss on my blog and not using it nor know how to use it effectively or correctly.

So what the heck is the purpose of feedage.com and should I only use this site to promote my site rss.

The confusion I am having is this:

I am not quite sure of the steps I need to take to correctly use a new RSS on my site. I am targeting homeowners offline who come online to find out how to sell their house or buy a house.

So what now do I do, I set up a new rss on my blog and now what step by step moves do I do next with this RSS to use it effectively and how does feedage.com and others should be used to promote or use a RSS on my site the right way.

  • Hopefully you have your feed address. If so, then you can go to feedage and submit your feed which will allow people to subscribe to your RSS Feed(Basically a text only version of your blog or website). You will need to sign-up for an account at feedage in order to submit your feed.

If you don't know your feed address, you can go to feedburner, and follow the prompts and it will search whatever website address you tell it, and then tell you what the feed address is. Copy it and save it so you don't have to look for it again.

By having a feed, google will reward you because most feed sites have an excellent pagerank, which will help your site/blog. Also, I wouldn't limit your RSS Feed submission to just one site. Try pingomatic. It will submit your site or blog, as well as your RSS Feed to multiple sites at once.
