What is a good product for you?

When i read the reviews section here, I read people complaining about the new salesletter and hype but when you look further, the product isnt bad at all.

Well, what is a good product for you? I have always been a big Ewen Chia fan because he mastered affiliate marketing and shows step by step on how to make commissions. Then you hear the complains on how his courses are for newbies.

Well, i dont believe in courses for advanced marketers. A great product or ebook should be one that takes you from A to Z and explains you step by step on how to build a solid recurring income online.

Who agrees?

A good product for me is simply one that does what it says it will do. If it promises me the moon and if I, by following the instructions obtain said moon, then it is a good product. If all it does is assure me that I can successfully register a domain name by following its instructions, and I am able to register that domain name, it's a good product. Even if I don't do my part, if a prudent or reasonable person is able to achieve the advertised goal(s), it is a good product. This is not to be confused with value, as that quality is in the eye (or mind) of the beholder. That's where time invested, price, etc. come into play.

It's not enough to want it... you have to want it enough.

Good point, information, "How To" is typically targeted towards newbies. Software, a new Plugin must perform a specific task, and function as stated-more of a tangible item can attract people at all levels-my favorite...Something new, innovative, with results...

I agree to an extent. My main concern is being clear from the start who the product is aimed toward and what it aims to do (teach, share, etc.). I'm always looking for a product that makes what I have to do easier, faster, or more enjoyable or rewarding. As long as it does one of those, I'm as happy as 8 year old on Christmas

These days, I've come to expect that 80% of what most products teach are things that have already been taught before, however if there's one thing, or one gem of knowledge that I haven't seen before and that I can immediately apply, then it's worth it. My take on products is, if you already have a system in place, what you look for in products are tactics that you can use to augment what you are already doing.

You are so right. A good product for me is one that takes me through all the neccessary steps to achieve something. You would be amazed how many things you still need to learn despite being a seasoned marketer. I bought a course on building wordpress sites when I was just starting but the videos left out small but very vital steps because they assumed it was common knowledge. This made it very difficult for me to set up so I ended up buying another course which was so detailed, it was a breeze. You should always assume that some people do not know some of the things.
