I understand WSOs are a great way to make money online if you launch a useful product or service. Can you suggest some ideas for a WSO?

    Sid,

No one is going to give you their ideas and create competition for themselves. However, there's absolutely nothing stopping you from browsing the WSO forum to find trends. That is, what's hot right now? What products and services seem to almost always generate a lot of excitement?

Figure that out, and there's your idea.

      Becky,
That is great advise! I have had several ideas running around in my head and have gone into information overload! LOL  Now, I know what to do to get focused!

Honestly, do you really think if I have a good idea for a WSO I am going to tell you instead of implementing the idea?

I am all for helping people in this forum (and other locations) but doing the research and thinking instead of you - are not exactly the ways how I imagine help...

LOL Doesn't Henry Gold have one of those out already? Guess that just goes to show you how instant gratification we have all become.

Maybe a better one is "Let me teach you HOW to think for yourself!"

    Agree with both upper posts.

If you would have spent 15 minutes searching and looking for good trends in WSO section that would be more profitable the asking from us.

And even if someone give you an idea how come you are supposed to make a WSO based on that idea if you can't even spend 15 minutes for on a little work.

The best thing you can do is hang around the forum. The more you learn, the more ideas you will get for your first WSO.

It seems we've officially reached the point where a WSO is "something you think up" instead of "a product you've created".

For those who think "having a WSO" means instant, easy money - think again.

Good example of what is wrong with the WSO section.

    - Not, hey fellow Warriors, here's a discount on one of my products.

    - Not, hey fellow Warriors, let me give you a deal and insights into something that is making me money.

Instead, let me quickly find some information to write up to sell as a WSO.

sidcandid, the cold hard fact is a lot of people have that mentality. Pay for a War Room membership, pay for a WSO, post a quick report with information found somewhere else. Then they're gone.

Not because they rode off into the sunset with a fortune. But because they just lost money - usually money they could not afford to lose.

I agree. However, one thing that has contributed to this mentality is the large number of WSOs that are about "How to create a WSO." Many of these products promise that you can run a successful WSO even if you're a newbie and have never created a product before. I've never ordered one of these, but I assume they advise you to rewrite some PLR or something like that. I'm sure it can be done, and it's possible you could even come up with a good product that way, but it's not very likely.

Actually, some of them actually tell you how to do the market research, select a topic, and create a useful product or offer a service people really need.

I know, I've done one of each.

However, I am also VERY clear about the steps that need to be taken, and there is one step where most "new" people fall short when it comes to selling WSOs. Participation.

That's THE secret, and the cool part is that there is no shortcut or way to fake it.

Anyway, I stand behind ALL of my products, and just wanted to mention that some "how to make a WSO" products are legit.

        All the best,

I personally believe you should only create a WSO when you have something valuable and unique to contribute you that is worth asking money for. I think people are adopting the wrong mentality.

Instead of thinking, wso's are good to make money from, how can i think of an idea to then sell as a wso, people need to be already implementing an idea effectively and making money from it and then think "hey wait a second, i could teach this to other people so they can be profitable or more successful, so i should sell this as a WSO".

I think the latter are the ones that make the best WSO's.

I don't know if anyone else agrees with this, but that's what i personally believe.

Instead of trying to find an idea to build a wso around. Become successful in something and then write a WSO about your success and teach others how to implement it too.

Yes - do what you said in the first sentence. Launch a useful product or service.

Actually, if you have a useful service, post an ad in the warriors for hire section.

That's the polite version. That has to be the single most idiotic question I have ever seen asked here. I'm not prepared to say any more otherwise Paul M might have to ban me.

But wouldn't you have to know something about it? That's the problem here. Smart buyers look at post history before buying from someone new here.

You have an OP who has clearly shown in posts/threads that he doesn't yet know how to make money or get traffic or where to start - will you follow his advice? Would YOU buy that WSO?

I won't encourage someone to spend money they don't have in the hope of magic "profits".

It seems like a given that any product/service offered should be within the buyer's realm of expertise. But your post reminded me that not everyone assumes the same thing. So YES... anyone who's considering creating a product or service better have some knowledge/expertise in the area.

Fortunately, you don't have to be a marketing whiz in order to launch a decent WSO or Warrior for Hire thread. For example:

-- Are you a good writer? Then offer ghostwriting.

-- Do you know how to do graphics? Then offer a graphics WSO or post in the "for hire" section.

-- Don't know much about marketing and yet you still want to launch a product? Then offer software. Or non-IM PLR. Or something else that doesn't require marketing expertise.

This is a quote from a recent WSO that I bought:

"The “Rewrite” WSO: With this idea you're going to take PLR (public label rights) content, rewrite it and put your own personal spin on it."

    This drives me mad!!

As was said above, there are WSO's telling you how to make big bucks running your own WSO created from rewritten PLR!

In my opinion a good WSO is a method that the creator has implemented and made money from.

So, what have you made money from that you can share with Warriors?

Can you offer a service - if you can, maybe that is the place to start.

Ah, Sid. You came back. Didn't expect that after your last thread. Considering the way things went on the forum for you last time you were here (thread since deleted) I'm surprised. You didn't take the lesson from that thread...so we'll try it again:

There are right and wrong ways to go about Internet Marketing. Going around asking for WSO ideas is another one of the wrong ones. The whole point of a WSO is that you are giving your knowledge in the form of an existing product at a special discount. Now I know that isn't normally the case these days; but it doesn't mean you need to jump on the bandwagon.

To create (and sell) a product in the IM niche, you need to have knowledge of something in the IM niche. Let's look at your post history on here, and see what kind of stuff you're contributing:

How to make $100-150/month from next month?

I need to start making online

How To Make Money Online Without Writing Articles?

What is the easiest way to make money online?

Now, those are just some of my favorites of yours. The rest of your posts are more of the same. So, exactly what knowledge do you have that you can turn into a helpful product for Warriors? Based on your activity here and the personal conversations I had when attempting to help you along, there's nothing.

WSO's are not the way to go for complete newbies, plain and simple. If you want any chance at success, get the idea out of your head now, its doomed before you even begin.

This is exactly a part of what is currently wrong with the wso section of the forums.

Bro, I've looked at many of your post's and honestly your very new and have a lot to learn.

I suggest spending some time here and learn some things first. Put some things to practice and make some money before trying to make money off of others here.

If you look at all the WSO's out right now, you'll find ones that get tons of sales, and a bunch that get virtually now sales and no one is talking about them. They key is to identify what makes people buy and what turns people off. Is it the offer itself? Maybe its the sales page? Once you connect the dots and figure out something you can explain to someone first hand with ease, you've got your WSO idea.

Step 1: Get really good at DOING something a lot of people IM need to be able to do if they want success.

Step 2: Write up a step-by-step guide that leaves nothing out and teaches even the newbiest newb how to do that thing.

Step 3: Make sure your WSO sales page targets the right audience and does not give false expectations about what's in your guide.

This is not rocket science. But there is no shortcut without either scamming or pretending.

Come on Warriors. Just because you don't have any ideas to share on wso's doesn't mean you have to slam OP for asking. I think it was a smart move to ask for suggestions. I for one will be paying close attention looking for new ideas on new services I can offer.

Good question. Plenty of research goes into theses. But you just have to keep in mind that most WSO's on information products are done by that person and their expertise in the niche. Coming out with product ideas is something you may consider. I see allot of people are slamming you about asking for ideas. Ask "What type of products would be great for someone to create?"

That may help ya out more. But good luck on your search!

Not to criticize the OP, because his question sounds sincere...

but when I read it and read all the 'How To Make Money With Your WSO,' wso's ..."WSO of The Day, WSO Of the WEEK" and note how much of the forum traffic is for WSO's, WSO posts, etc, I sort of feel like the comedian Lewis Black.

In his classic routine, Black claims to have seen the END OF THE UNIVERSE, he describes his experience with Starbucks....More and more, everyday, I believe we are living in a WSO UNIVERSE.

Bruce ...now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go bump my wso's.

Good WSO come and go, and they have a shelf life I think. Well sort of if you know what i mean.

So make sure you spend time in research. It can make or break you.

Some of my WSO's did really well and make WELL over 5k and others dismal like 500 - 600 dollars because I did not do enough.

Research and see what is popular at the moment eg. :

right now it is all about facebook, mobile phones, Q codes, iphone and small apps.

I guess you get the idea. See if you can quench our thirst with that. And all the best.

Yeah, research is the key. Help your self to learn how to fish in the sea, don't wait for someone to spoon feed you. This is a competition learn so you should always find a way to learn more for your survival.

Agree, forums are great places for fresh original ideas. What are the common problems people are discussing. Find an area that interests you, or where you may be able to provide a value add solution, and theirs your topic. Another simple method, talk with a few friends, ask them what they hate the most about ...kwd research- blog creation, writing unique content...and why? More topics will surface quickly... Hope that helps...
