So - What did YOU actually DO today for your IM Biz?

Sadly...

All I got done was post 3 new articles.

I feel like it was a wasted day - so far anyway.

What about you?

Today was a good day for me.

Yesterday I really took action after reading the ebook which i have recommended in my sig.

So far today I have written 2 articles can't submit them to ezine articles though because I have to wait for my first 5 to be accepted which I hear can take 3-5 days.

Well anyway after that i learned a little bit about social book marking and book marked my squidoo lens about 15 times with different websites.

Then i signed up for yahoo answers and answered about 5 questions related to my niche though some of them were a couple of day's old so not sure if i will get any traffic from that.

Im looking for ways to drive some more traffic to my squidoo lens. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Im off to possibly make a couple of youtube video's now.

      John

Developed 4 pitches for freelance articles and submitted them to 8 different national magazines

        Wrote 3 weight loss articles

Wrote 3 finance articles and distributed to directories

Wracked my brain trying to figure out how to introduce a new product

Decided to revive my plr membership site but with a twist.

Revised an autoresponder series and uploaded

It's funny you mention this, I called in sick for work today, so I "pretended" I am a full time marketer. I told myself I was going to work from 9 to 5 with a short break for lunch, and that is what I did!

Still didn't get nearly everything done that I thought I would, although a couple of new tasks came up

Had 2 meetings with offline clients, wrote several pages in each of my upcoming mobile marketing and PPC guides, worked with a few of my coaching students, caught up with a friend for lunch (break...), did some PPC tuning, added a 6 part autoresponder series to one of my websites and now I am typing this. Taking the rest of the night off...

Honestly..? I played on the Warrior forum. Had fun with lots of folks around here. Helped a few. Disagreed with a few. Laughed a lot. Learnt a lot. Drank some fine malt whisky. Had some fine venison, stilton, port and trifle.

I did this while my employees added to my bottom line.

Such things are only possible for me based upon the many years of hard work that are long behind me.

The amazing thing is that today's activities have most definitely contributed to me being a better businessman and human being.

It's not *all* about working your butt off.

Other things are equally as valuable. Having the right perspective is right up there on that list.

Today was flat out busy for me.

Set up and tested a premium post setup on my blog for my new WSO - had to integrate an automatic login to my Niche Ideas Database as well as getting the system to flow through to getting the user creating their account on my blog.

Using a PHP lockdown script, Register Plus plugin and the MemberWing plugin (as recommened by John Taylor) for all that by the way.

Then had to get the WSO copy done and posted. Now I need to concentrate on putting some more premium content up there!

took notes during a 2 hr webinar, bought some WSO ebooks, read 'em, outsourced 40 articles, sent some code to be checked by a trusted programmer.

now off to check out Register Plus plugin and the MemberWing plugin mentioned by Tim above.

I met with the winners of Season 4 of "The Biggest Loser" TV show (NBC) and finalized a deal with them to be the spokespersons for my weightloss site.

We also filmed some fitness and sales videos using a professional video guy I found from Craigslist.

If you want to see some amazing before and after pictures, check this out:
      http://www.weightlosstwins.com/

Other than that, I checked with my local assistant and my virtual assistant to delegate some tasks and also checked my stats from yesterday.

Fun day overall. I really needed to get out the office.

I posted some articles to my network of blogs...

I puzzled over the sudden jump in "clicks" to the azoogle links that were posted in those articles...never did figure it out...lol

I cemented a deal to custom write some articles for an angelina jolie look alike to promote her website...

I spent hours trying to find a script I want for a new project and finally determined I will have to have it custom coded...Then spent the next hour cringing over finding a reputable coder to do it...

Oh yeah... I also packed my 3 boys off to school, supervised their homework, fed them dinner, scooted them off to bed, AND somehow managed to look after my new 3 week old daughter as well...

I am now looking at my "to do" list and it seems I have not yet started my day let alone completed it!!

I love these "a day in the life" posts.

I updated my home blog to include links to all the blogs and squidoo lenses I had recently created (about 30 of them in total).
I emailed a bunch of people that I'm in a coaching program with and gave them those 30 links to see who wants to do some three way/reciprocal or in post linking with me.
I submitted an article to ezine.
I emailed all the members of my adoption forum to ask them to share their state's adoption laws for our "local adoption guide".
I noticed that adsense didn't give me revenue for four clicks today so I emailed them. They adjusted my account in a few hours.
I added a blog post to four of my blogs.
I emailed someone who is writing a few articles for me to see if they're done yet.
Also.....I got a coffee mug in the mail from ezine articles! I wasn't expecting it and it was a nice surprise!

    Finished a clients website

Sent some orders out for my dropshipping site

bought some products from a thrift store to sell on Ebay

Listed them on Ebay, along with a broken iPod and old Playboys.

Called Host Gator to inquire about a Resellers account

Called Host Gator to inquire about a Resellers account

Called PayPal to get some funds released

Now I'm going to start a project for a client and list another site to sell on SitePoint.

      Hey Winebuddy ...

These folks are not supemen / superwomen ... they are just organized and "plan their work and work their plan". It can be tough to get organized (I KNOW!)

ANYWAY ... what did I do today?

      - Got up up at 10 AM
      - Took son to work at the Y
      - Went with wife and daughter to Y for lessons
      - Started working at 2 PM
      - Finished some new website design for new product
      - Answered important emails
      - Wrote a new chapter of an upcoming new product
      - Did a conference call with vendors
      - Called it a day

HONESTLY? NOT as productive as I wanted to be BUT ...

I am using a list system to keep on top of things. List all that I have to do, prioritize it ... get done things in order ... what doesn't get done bumps to the top of the list tomorrow.

    Had a pretty productive day.

    -Wrote 2 articles
    -Did one video and submitted
    -Sent out 1 solo ad
    -Wrote up a press release
    -Did some pay per click

I try to stay pretty consistent working from home full time. For those of you that work from home full time know there are a MILLION distractions lol
