hey warriors,

so, i've been doing IM for seven months, read pretty much any ebook I can get my hands on, build several websites in different niches, just recently built two squeeze pages.

The problem is google and a huge lack of traffic and no one open mailing lists, I seem to be stuck in a circle of selling CB products to other affiliates but as we all know nothing out of there really works, I even changed my golf website to a free members forum, plugged it on facebook and twitter and ad swaps but still nothing and I cant get the site ranked high enough in google.

Yes i'm new to all this but there must be something that i am doing that is very wrong, anyone out there willing to impart some experience and knowedge would be greatly recieved.

Have you tried any paid traffic?

I took a look at your site, it seems that you need more quality content to attract Google. The section that says, "Golf Info" seems to be all links pointing to different sites. You need to start building your own content up. Google loves content and with the constant feeding of fresh content, you'll soon be attracting more traffic, especially if you choose your keywords well within your content.

Also, try offering something free to build your list...perhaps some golf tips or a free report about golf.

Hi, your main issue is focus. Make sure that you focus on one niche and be the best in it. Your second issue is traffic, here's how I do seo to drive traffic, these 2 posts should give you some plan...

are you getting traffic from the right target audience? I recommend that before doing a website, the traffic source has to be identified. Also, in your website plan and to do list, you need to have list of things that you need to do on daily basis and weekly basis to get traffic.

here's the system I use to drive traffic using google...

Basically what I do is I focus in creating a theme based content site in a particular niche. Here are the steps that I use...

    1. Research keywords with moderate demand and reasonable competition.

    2. Evaluate keywords using seoquake.com software. Check out the stats out there for top 20 sites and then take out an average as to how much work I have to do to get to the top. Then finally pick up keywords to target.

    3. Create a silo for my site. Find out LSI for the keywords. Setup linking structure of my site 4 levels deep. Start writing articles for the keywords and optimize them on my site.

    4. Setup proper urls for my keyword targeted pages.

    5. Start getting links to the pages. I use automated linking services, blog networks, article marketing, automated social bookmarking, automated web 2.0 submission and alot more tactics to get links super fast. I also schedule the links to my site on daily basis rather getting everything at once.

    6. Then I have systems that track down how my keywords are performing automatically.

Using the above system if I am targeting 10 keywords at one time I probably hit a jackpot and get several of them ranking on the top. Hope this helps...

yeah I know that, but these are few things that require advanced training. Consider searching in google for terms silo, lsi, etc if you have issues understanding them. You can even PM me if you have any specific questions...

Silo is basically a structure you setup for your website.

That simply means that you research keywords in your niche, then arrange them into categories and sub categories around 4 levels deep so that you establish a theme of your website.

Now you write articles for every keyword and you have a perfectly organised site with categories and sub categories.

There is a learning curve you need to know how you should link your pages where you can link the pages from the top level to the bottom level and not from bottom to the top. However you should not even link from one silo to another. You will have to learn how to do this.

Once you do this it establishes a theme of your site in the eyes of search engines and this improves your overall ranking of your site in hundreds of keywords in your niche even the one's you're not targeting because of the content and structure you've created. Basically it helps search engines to understand your site content and theme much better rather than confusing them as to what your site is all about. Also you can hone into one niche or sub niche and then go deep down and conquer that niche based on your content writing speed.

LSI is latent symentic index. It is basically using synonyms or related terms for your main keywords in your articles.

Example if you search for ~acne in google with a ~ ( tilde ) you will find that google will bold the lsi terms. So you will see terms like pimples, breakouts, rosacea bolded. Using them in your acne related article will get you better ranking and establish a better theme of your site. Hope this helps...

... because we're doing it not for "good ranking", but for money, right?
I applied the basic version of that system on one of my sites for around 480 articles and it got me over 90,000 visitors, 7000 leads and approx. sales over $20,000. However I was lazy enough to scale up this system but now I am working to perfect things up for higher profits and conversions. My basic testing shows that the seo traffic that is coming to my site is giving me around 17% lead conversion rate but I need to improve on that. Basically I am promoting the squeeze page on all the content pages, probably will have to fine tune more squeeze pages and split test the conversions. Hope this helps...

To be quite frank, reading tons of ebooks would not help you. Learn the basics of SEO first. Instead of trying to read ebooks, learn SEO and then you will realize why you are not ranking. To be frank, the Google Panda update also hit hard on a lot of the squeeze page websites. I had one website with direct domain keyword and hardly any content on a squeeze page and was ranking at the top of Google. But once the Panda hit, it has been sent into oblivion and is nowhere in Google. I was making at least a few hundred dollars with that website but Panda hit hard. So, squeeze pages are not effective anymore if you do not have more content. I had never worked on SEO as that was anyways ranking near the top being a domain keyword but SEO might pull it back though I doubt it. All squeeze page websites in that niche disappeared and only one website remained which was also adding content at definite intervals. So, things have changed but whatever you do you need to add more content and also work on SEO. One more thing. SEO and for that matter Websites itself are "hit and trial". A thing that works out on one website or for one person might not necessarily work out on another. But the pattern is always going to be similar and you need to understand the basics of SEO and how rankings are calculated by search engines. And once you get established, experiment and experiment even more. The more you experiment the more you will learn new hidden techniques and facts which you might not find in ebooks or even forums.

    Mr.Abbas,
Thank you for the useful information. Your process is in line with how I do it.
Using word press, how are you building Silo Structure. Do you use pages, if so how are you putting them in to catagories. It is easy to put the posts in to catagories. I would appreciate any one answring my question.

PS: Ms.Abbas your signature link is broken, I tried to get your free PDF and could not

Hi Vikram, I don't use blogs to create silos, rather I use standard html pages to create them because I feel they are more flexible to create silos than using a blog.

However I use blog to post my article snippets and then link them to the html pages. This helps in getting my html pages indexed much faster as the blog gets indexed by search engines pretty often due to pinging and other stuff.

It also helps in establishing a theme of your site as you link your blog snippets to your articles using related keywords of that article, this establishes a good internal linking structure for your site.

      Hope this helps...

    I agree with RevenueGal.

Good content is critical if you want Google to take you seriously. I publish an online magazine, My Guide to the Backroads of America, and I can tell you for a fact that when I publish a page with some really relevant content on it, Google indexes the heck out of it.

Forums are one of the easiest ways that can drive traffic to your website. By posting on forums that are associated to the content of your website, a name is built for not only yourself but also your website. If a meaningful post is put up on the forum, which is in return helping the other people in answering their questions, it will build your status as a well-informed user, and other forum users will yearn for your website to see what other help or information you can offer them. Images too are a great way to augment a website from a user’s point of view. Make sure to write more than putting up the pictures because words grab in more attention than pictures do while searching for certain keywords on a particular website.Thumbnail the images in a table and have hyperlinks to each image on a separate page. Remember search engines cannot read flash or graphical images so albeit your flash may say a whole lot; it means just absolutely to the search engine.
