I'm looking for free or reliable paid press release sites that seem to have good results with the media industry. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kirk

  • Give PRWeb.com a go. I've had fairly good success with them. The rates aren't the cheapest, but you pay for qualityl.
  • PRweb is the best imo. Actually.. it's the only good one. I've had no luck at all with other sites.
  • Talk to Dana_W. She posted a huge list of them here not too long ago. She's a former news reporter and offers an outstanding press release writing and submission service. She's also pretty lovely, too.

  • Dana Willhoit (I think she is a Warrior) has a pretty good list on her site http://www.thepressreleasesite.com/l...ase-sites.html
  • My 2 recommendations are:

    Webwire.com
    PRWeb.com
  • If talking about free press release, I have tried this one:
  • Awww, you guys ROCK!

    PRWeb seems to drive the most traffic. But the free sites are pretty good for traffics, backlinks, and also getting fast placement and indexing on google.

    Oh, I'm Dana Willhoit. When I first created my Warrior account I still had, shudder, a full time j-o-b and I didn't use my picture icon or full name because I didn't want to alert my bosses that I was planning on bolting.

    Ha. Take that, bosses.

    • Nice Dana!

      How long now have you been j-o-b-less?

  • Thanks everyone.

    I was going to take a look at PRWeb, but was drawing a total blank and couldn't remember their name or see them when I searched in here.

    Also, thanks for the lead to Dana.

    I appreciate the information.

    Take care, and send customers.

    • Kirk,

      I have a page on my web site that lists a few dozen reputable paid press release distribution services that differ from one another in the following ways:

      * geographical focus
      * ethnic focus
      * industry focus
      * method of charging
      * price
      * reach
      * method of distribution
      * what's being publicized

      and more.

      I do my best to keep this list up to date because I actually refer to it myself frequently when clients ask me how they should distribute their release. The answer can be quite different for different target audiences and publicity goals.

      If you're serious about publicity, you'll want to bookmark the page.

      It's free, no opt-in required.

    • Nice one. Way to go, you two!

      It also serves as a much needed reminder of the powerful relationships that can be forged here, just by reaching out to help each other out.

      I wish you every success with it.

  • I am thrilled that Big Mike asked me to work with him on this! I mean, he's just paying me in Ouzo, but I get to work with BIG MIKE!!!!

    And it's way better than working with Kevin Riley - no, Kevin, hamster kibble is NOT as good as cash. I found out the hard way.

    Really though - press release project with Big Mike - it will make it so easy to submit to multiple free sites you will not believe it.

    I still recommend a mix of free and paid sites.
  • Here's an Excel download list on our blog (no need to give out your email or anything, just download and use):

    ...it lists free ones at the top, paid at the bottom, and others in between. Shuffle how you'd like once you download.

  • I use prlog.com - I write my own releases but I do use a article site once in a while and it cost like 9.00 per article.
