Content Network Placement Targeting Question. Anyone Know This?

I have been studying the Google placement network.

I think I have a decent grasp but one thing I am having a hard time is how to bid on a specific placement on a specific page of a website if there are multiple adsense blocks on that specific page.

I see no provision for bidding on a specific ad block, for example the top left and not the bottom center.

I was going to start with text ads and CPC bidding if that could be a reason I am unable to select a specific placement.

Anyone know how I can specify an exact placement?

    1) Turn off below the fold if you are targeting the ad blocks above the fold.

    2) Monitor the ad sizes and formats being shown for the specific ad block you want to target. If it's a certain size (200x200), then you can develop ads for that image size. If it alternates between formats (image/video), take that into consideration.

    3) Set up a separate AdGroup for that individual placement (page) and then only upload the ad sizes and formats for the ad block you are trying to target.

Yeah this makes sense...also you need to remember that it's still a bidding war. So Google is going to place the higher bidders in better positions on the page. So if all else fails, bid higher!
