Any legitimate ways to make money?

I'm new to the forum. I've been doing some research over the past 6 months about different products and have been burned by a few and have decided to turn my attention here for some answers before I invest anymore.

My situation. I've been laid off twice in the last 2 years due to the economic downturn and am currently employed but working 11-12 hours a day 6 days a week trying to support my kids. My current employment's pay is less than what I was making prior. And prior to that, I was making more. You get the picture (i.e. downturn).

Are there any legitimate internet marketing businesses out there that don't require high investments and hours and hours of work? I'm willing to work hard but due to my time constraints on my everyday job, I don't have a lot of time to get something up and running months down the road before I get any kind of return on my investment. I'm not looking to get rich overnight, but something that can supplement my current monthly income.

My financial situation, like everyone else in America, is tough and a monthly struggle. I'm honestly sick of telling my kids they can't go to the movie because daddy doesn't have the money.

I'm not a tech savvy person. I'm looking for something that is straight forward, with CLEAR step by step directions, from a legitimate person(company) that provides support. A product where you don't have to purchase from here, then set-up something there, then have to purchase some more software, etc. Looking for something that is straight forward.

Any help would be appreciated. Like everyone else, I cannot afford any more financial blunders.

unfortunately there is no quick and easy fix to internet marketing or making money online. Making money online is just as hard, if not harder than a real 9 to 5. You may have bought into the hype of "I make 3 bajillion dollars, in my pajamas, only working 5 minutes a day". The truth is, he probably is making that kind of money, but it didnt come without years and years of losing money, trial and error and working at it till 5am only to get 5 minutes of sleep.

There are 2 ways to really go about it

Pay to get things done for you via outsourcing. However this requires the knowledge of knowing what you need done step by step.

    or

put in your hard earned blood, sweat, tears and probably some wasted money

While you can make money in your pajamas in the comfort of your own home working only 5 minutes a day, this benefit does not come without sacrifice, hard work and a lot of experience.

However, I think it is necessary for you and your business to invest on software that will help your business.

Just to name few, autoresponder, hosting, domain, payment processor, and affiliate network.

I honestly don't know how the best and fastest way to make money online except providing your own service or product. But, building a business is same everywhere, it will need investment in time and money.

Of course it can be other people time and other people money, but still... itll need initial time and money from you first before you can expand it and start outsource or do joint venture.

George Brown's Google Sniper 2 course is a good low cost starting point that shows you how to find hungry buyer keywords where you've a chance of making some money by putting simple targeted blogs together to sell affiliate products and make some adsense income. You still need to figure out how to use Wordpress and understand/learn basic SEO and driving traffic. You could progress to writing your own ebook and promoting it via clickbank - but make sure there's demand first!

Offering your services via elance, odesk, rentacoder and offering to research and write articles is a quick way.

Broking services on ffiver is another way of making money - simply find some in demand services and source the solution on ffiver and charge a tenner! This can work well as not everyone knows about ffiver or are so busy they can't be bothered to check it out.

Finally an old-Skool favourite is eBay, you're bound to have stuff you no longer need or that friends will gladly give you to take stuff away. I know some people who are professional eBay sellers and they'll list and promote other people's items for 25% of the sale-no stock required!

Good luck - I hope you find something that fits :-)

One of the quickest ways to make money is to offer a service. Can you write articles? Do you know how to build websites? Offering a skill will make you money immediately, but at the same time you can work on things to increase your long-term income. Fiverr and elance or odesk are good places to start and to see what is in demand, but you will likely make more money by building a website and advertising your services that way.

Every jobs need and effort and time to do it. When you invest less then you earn less. That is always the golden rule when it comes to business. Before you start in IM, what is your expertise or what you're good at? If you're passion is writing or making articles, copywriter and marketing research then you have a future in odesk or other article writing site which you can work as freelance or as part time depending on your availability. There are other domain that are free which you can put your original writings and earn thru it. Since you have other job to attain to, this work is best for you. You don't have to invest some money and you can work anytime you want. I also do this thing during my free time.

You do not have to be tech savvy to work online. I haven't found any job online that are legit, doesn't mean there isn't any out there just that I haven't found them. There are other ways to make money online, ask yourself what am I good at and could I make money online with it. then go from there find out how you can do that. If its creating a blog or website and selling things, providing a service. Maybe your a good writer etc. just keep moving forward.

You can start making money by offer a service:
Step back and look what you can offer to people, and ask your self if people will pay you for that? If you can't come up with anything go to Fiverr.com and look what people offer and may be that will give you few ideas.

You can also be a middle man by reselling someone else's service at higher price.

Create an adsense / afilliate websites.
This will be a little bit more complicated since you'd have to know how to do keyword research, SEO, how to pick a niche, how to market and provide content on your web site. If you don't know any of that, again you can outsource it and create a quality web site for around $40-50.

    Keep it local.
You can look in your local community and see if there anything you can offer locally or improve something. For example, I started a local classifieds web site (Jobs in Rogue Valley, Free Classifieds | Rogue Valley Ads).

Just remember, don't expect instant returns. Pick something and focus on it, don't give up too easily.
If you need any help let me know.

How old are your kids? Could they help you with an online venture? A lot of kids are tech savvy today. We have some teenagers on this site earning good money. Could you set up some ebay auctions and trust your kids to fulfill the auctions. Could you have them do some research for you to write articles or PLR?

Kids that are tech savvy will not work for you. In some cases, they will steal your ideas if you employ them (i.e. Mark Zuckerberg).

Well I kinda meant the kids under your roof who depend on you for eats and treats. But if one of those kids is the next Mark Zuckerberg, I wouldn't be worrying too much about money!

Honestly, the only thing you need to invest is TIME... there is no quick get rich easily scheme out there.

I started 8 years ago, I invested a good 8 hours a day into my website, I worked a daycare business during the day and evening/night was for learning everything I could. I did quickly invest $10 a month into website hosting/domain but even that is cheaper now.

If you don't spend the time right now LEARNING... you will regret it... you can learn for free with some searching or you can invest in a "program" and learn that way... either way.. learning is your first step.

On a side note.. there are plenty of real work at home "jobs" out there but they aren't an easier to get than an offline job these days.

First, I will answer your title question.

What do YOU think? Are there any legitimate ways to make money? Do you believe anyone at all in the WF makes any money? If so, and if you seriously question whether or not there are legitimate ways to make money, then you question whether those on the WF who make money make it legitimately or not. Oh, forget it.

First of all Sadly there is no magic way of earning zillions in 24 hrs with just 5 mins work as claimed by few .... Like any other biz its hard work mate.

However there are certain things you can do to reduce the learning curve, money wasted on useless stuff.

I would suggest you to spend some quality time in this forum (not WSOs, they will distract you), get the basic understanding of what are various aspects of IM and think about which area might be more suitable for you.

One of the recent hot ares is Local SEO. If you could manage to understand a bit about Local SEO, you could set up a simple website offering local SEO services to the business in your city / town and probably outsource the work (WF/Elance etc) pocketing few quids for your efforts.

      Cheers,
      Vincent

That thread has all you need to know in great detail. Before you check it out though, have an old fashioned notebook handy so that you can write down the suggestions that appeal to you. After you've gone through the thread (it's really long) you can then cross out any that you are not comfortable with.

But make sure you check it out.

How much do you want to make? Will 50-100 dollars a month be good enough by not doing too much work? It can go over 100 if you do this often for fun.

If you think that is enough then I can help you out, the money will be on autopilot after implanting the method each day.

Just give me a day or so to write up a good guide and I'll show you the way. In return I'd like a testimonial from you in the future after my guide has work out for you.

I can give you 2 free guides.

I'm interested. I'm not tech savvy but willing to learn. I need to get started somewhere. Its a little overwhelming trying to figure IM out. There are so many different options and avenues to pursue. Still trying to get my hands around it. I figured with all the expertise on this forum, it would be a good place to start.

Right there with ya on all of that. FWIW I've been trying to get a handle on the IM ways of the world for about a year, year & 1/2 (while working a fulltime 'day' job), and am just now beginning to figure some of it out in productive ways.

Last night I pulled up a short ebook/report I paid $7 for in May of '10. I recall that the info meant nothing to me at the time, little I could interpret well enough to connect to constructively. So, I kept lurking here & there, buying a few other (much more expensive) IM instructional products aroundabouts, from various providers, subscribing and then unsubscribing to dozens of lists and so on---little by little getting myself reeducated.

I'd had no idea how much I'd learned until a buddy emailed me from Florida a couple months back with a question about his wife's intentions to add a 'net "wing" to her own offline business. My humble attempt to reply meaningfully overwhelmed and actually impressed him, yet I still know next to nothin' as compared to many, if not most, who frequent the WF.

Well, anyway, reading through that little "old" $7 ebook again last evening I realized that I'd had "it" in my "hand" all along but'd lacked the "eyes" to able to see the gems among the ashes when I was way back there on Square 1 in spring of 2010. Still much work to do and know-how to accumulate, but I have direction and focus now to help guide me on the way.

Incredible resource, this forum. Not the only place I've spent my time acquiring and digesting and assimilating the dribs and gobs and floods of info & options since I began---not to mention the countless times I've silently thanked so many here---but definitely the "straw" that finally "stirred the drink."

I hope your way is more swift and sure. Cheers, and good luck.

I think most of us are guilty of this same thing, and much of the information that was stated several years ago is still valid today (especially along the lines of motivation, etc).

@ jabone2, there are many, many ways to make money online. Most will require some time and effort on your part, and how much you put into it will reflect on how much you get back. There is no "free lunch" when it comes to making money online, but there are many free avenues that can get you going in the right direction (this site is one of them).

In my opinion, the easiest way to start down the path is to create a blog about something that interests you (possibly you are an "expert" in this field) and start writing. Do some link building for traffic and build some followers. Even if it's just providing technical info to solve a problem (such as a step by step guide) you can harness SE traffic with it. Get approved for Adsense and with proper placement you can be earning some $$$ in no time. Believe me, this works!

Having your back against the wall is a rough place to be. The biggest thing you have to guard against is hopelessness. Being desperate and frantic will sap your energy.

You have a rough schedule to work around. You're going to lose some sleep, because this will take some work.

What I highly recommend is that you find a coach - someone who's walked the walk and is willing to teach and mentor you. It might cost you some upfront money - there's the scare factor. But there's also nothing wrong with asking for some kind of a deal, either. Most people who do coaching don't do the "I'll pay you when I make money" thing - they want to see some commitment up front, and from your side of the table, that means money. Most people aren't heartless, though - you ought to be able to work something out with someone.

Don't go after the new shiny objects, they're money pits for someone in your position.

You're going to have to have at least some money to invest - domain names, hosting, autoresponders all cost. But there are deals to be had on those, too. You can get first month of hosting at several places for one cent, likewise an autoresponder. You can find domain coupons for dot coms that let you pick them up for $7-$8. So for $25 or so, you could have 3 sites up and running.

You do 3-4 hours a day working with a knowledgeable coach, and you should have a sustainable business foundation in 30 days, and some decent income in 60.

Running a business online is just like managing a brick and mortar business. You have to invest some money and lot of time and effort to be successful. Forget about the things you've heard about earning heaps of money overnight or having your business run on autopilot. Yes, you may earn a lot and your business may get to a point where you can work on it for as little as 5 minutes a day...but only after investing some time, money and effort for it to reach that point.

You need to research and find out which works for you and when you find it, stick to it and do it on a consistent basis. That's the only way you can succeed.

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that there are a number of legitimate ways to make money online. The fastest way to make money online is to be a service provider because you get paid by Paypal. The down side is that with most of the methods, you have to be able to work around other people's schedules--unless you have your own PLR store.

PLR stands for Private Label Rights, which is pre-written content (can be in the form of video) on a variety of topics that a person can purchase, modify and use as their own. People purchase PLR b/c they either don't have time or suck at writing. Having your own PLR store has a number of benefits:

    1. paid via Paypal

    2. work around your schedule

    3. provides residual income: work once & continue to get paid because majority of traffic will come from search engines

    4. multiple streams of income: in addition to getting traffic from the search engines, you can also use an opt-in form on site to allow customer requests, which means you have at least one guaranteed buyer & also use this to promote new PLR to them, can also run PLR specials for a short time (like over a weekend) if you need to generate large sums of money in addition to search engines and topic requests

    5. When selling PLR, you have the option not to allow refunds since there is no way for the customer to return the PLR to you.

Your second option is to be an affiliate marketer (sell other people's products in exchange for a commission on every sale you make). Like having your own PLR store, being an affiliate marketer has it's advantages.

    1. residual income: getting ranked in the search engines (like with a PLR store)

    2. work around your schedule

    3. multiple streams of income: make sales by getting traffic from the search engines (like with a PLR store), can have an opt-in form (like with a PLR store) to build a list of buyers you can promote to in order to generate cash quickly, can sell ad space (once your site starts getting a lot of visibility, can sell your own product, can make money with adsense (shouldn't use this when doing affiliate marketing or selling your own product - causes potential customer to leave the page)

As you can see, having your own PLR store and doing affiliate marketing have a lot of the same benefits. The thing that distinguishes them is that when doing affiliate marketing, you get paid by an affiliate network, either on a monthly, bi-monthly or weekly basis, depending on whether or not you have met certain criteria. Then, the money is transferred into your bank acct (depending on your preferred payment method).

With affiliate marketing, there is usually a threshold (certain amount of money you need to make -- varies from network to network) before you can get paid. Also, if you get a lot of refunds (all affiliate networks have refund policies as a safeguard to the consumer), there is a chance your acct. will go into the negative, you will have to dig yourself out of the hole before you receive another payment.

Lastly, making money online requires a learning curve. You will not only need to take the time to gain knowledge and skills but implement what you learn as well. Yeah, implementation means work--just telling you like it is. The reality is that most people who do this have families and screwed up financial situations. They are doing it for their families.

Making money online is something you have to dedicate yourself to--just like anything else you hope to succeed at. It's not something that happens overnight--despite what everyone tells you. You have to make time for it. You may need to get up an hour earlier or go to bed an hour later a few days during the week and do what you can on Sunday.

I'm sure this is a lot to absorb, and you're probably disappointed and want to hit me in the face. :-) However, everything I have told you is the truth, which is a turn off to a lot of people--my family members included. I look at it this way. You can either do nothing and stay in the situation you are in and do something to change it.

    Good luck,
    Joey

It is normal in a society such as ours to only ask about the pay and nobody will see a problem with it. In fact, about 90% of the world think exacly like that and made their choices in life by looking at salary statistics while overlooking the fact that they were heading towards a job they would hate for the rest of their life, and that job would constantly drain their energy, they'd come home exhasted, their health might get affected and it even break mariages sometime. Somehow most people fail to look at these statistics.

I have been in your shoes in the past and I understand how you feel right now. It is stressful, your kids depend on you, bills keep pilling up, you feel trapped within a rat race and it seems you need to push harder than ever to achieve less revenues. You might have to endure your regular job for a while but you really need to find a second job that makes you sparkle and thrive not for the money expectation but for the job itself.

Once you grasp that concept, you will never need to struggle again. Take the case of a trashman for example... Brian Scudamore was enjoying physical work a lot and he was thrilled by the fact of making the streets cleaner. He had no shame at all of being a trashman to make sure everybody would notice him and his trash truck. He's still a trashman, but with a fat annual check that gets over 100Millions every years.

Another one was Guy Laliberté. He was never able to keep a job, he tried to keep several jobs at flipping burgers but always ended being fired because he was making the clown all the time. He finaly thought he found a good job when an electric company hired him, but he soon lost that job because the workers went on strike. He decided then to do the clown and took the career he liked, street performer. He's still a clown and he still laugh a lot and is one of the few on this planet who can afford a fare to space with his 2.5bil. networth.

On a much nearer level, take Yuri Arcurs. He just love photos and he is so professional that he deletes on average 1300 shots to keep 50. He was getting a comfortable annual pay of $400,000,00, but it is evaluated that he makes more than a million now.

There is something that people don't put into account. When someone starts living and stop feeling irritated, their brain start to work at a much higher percentage than the average 4% that the average people are using. You can work in any of these jobs that people told you about, but you must make sure that it will be a job you enjoy more than money.

Making money online is hard (NOT easy)...at the beginning...

    Here's what I do..

Create a squeeze page within the health, wealth or lifestyle niche >> build a list (traffic to your squeeze page) >> Promote similar products as an affiliate

Thats only a rough copy but you get the picture (it seems simple and it is)... but you need to put in the hard work, especially at the beginning

To be honest, you're going to be hard-pressed to get anywhere in the world of internet marketing if you are working 12 hour days, 6 days a week, and have to look after a family as well.

I'm not trying to shoot you down, but you're definitely going to need to put in more than a few hours a week to make any kind of substantial income online, at least at first. I was unemployed when I started in IM, and it still took me a long time (months) before I had anything that could even pay a bill or two per month. Making money online takes a surprising about of time and effort that is not at all apparent at first, especially thanks to all of the flashy "make millions overnight!" type emails and things you've probably seen.

I don't want to crush your spirits, but if you can't put at least a few hours of solid time into this, you might as well not bother.

Having a digital camera that can take pictures of decent quality can work wonders. Go out and travel, visit new places and take loads and loads of pictures. It will satisfy a growing demand of web/graphic designers, content producers, commercials, movies, games and the list can just go on. Upload the pictures to as many Photo Stock Websites as you can. Give them a fine description, title, tags and you are almost set. If your pictures are good enough to stand out of the crowd you can look forward to a steady flow of downloads and passive income. Writing is one of the most conventional ways to legitimately make money. A growing number of sites pay for your articles or the blogs that you post.

    Jabone,

You can't afford NOT to make anymore financial blunders either.

Not that I don't understand where you are coming from - because I do. However, operating in fear of ever 'failing' again - or fear of 'getting burned' again - will inevitably hold you back in the long run.

But sometimes, you have to stay out of the line of fire and give your wounds time to heal.

In the meantime, since you need to gain some belief that there are legitimate ways to make money online - you might want to check out this thread I found in the Challenges section (kinda slow in there...) which is starting in a few days - where the objective is to earn money (amount not specified) WITHOUT investing any money.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/member-c...-no-money.html

Perhaps that might be a starting point for you to consider.

The method that I follow in order to build my business is finding a profitable niche like "make money online" and then finding a subniche within that market, like people who want more traffic or people who want to learn how to make money from videos (the more targeted you are, the better). And then I simply set up a squeeze page with a high quality offer for my target market and then I start promoting in different ways to get leads. I then provide value to those leads through follow up messages to get them to like me and trust me. Once that's complete, I begin marketing high quality products or affiliate programs that will actually help them make money. I don't ever market any of the crappy products on clickbank because that would definitely start making people unsubscribe from me. You should really focus on finding a target market and then giving them a solution to their problem. It takes time, but if you are willing and committed/diligent, then you could get this done in about 2-3 weeks with 4 hours of work per day and an investment of about $20-$30 dollars. I hope that helps some and good luck with everything.

Jabone 2, everyone's said about there's all to say about IM so far... there's no such thing as easy money (at least, not at first )

... the easiest way to start would be to offer a service. You seem fairly articulate, so some form of writing may be a great place to start. There's a ton of threads on that, so get busy! You can begin seeing some money come in within days which you can then use to further your education and business.

    Ansar

P.S. Freelancing is a great way to learn what real marketers do "behind the scenes", you'll eventually find seeing what works in action far more valuable then reading some Ebook or watching video training courses for hours at a time.

Any help would be appreciated. Like everyone else, I cannot afford any more financial blunders.

Well if you have a fulltime job then you should be able to finance starting a blog.

Go on yahoo web hosting think of a domain in a niche you HAVE A PASSION FOR

Then start writing blog posts about different topics within your niche.

Write an article everyday and on day 31 throw google adsense on there.

Next find affiliate offers that are related to your niche and send some ppc traffic to your home page with banners for these offers you found.

    Then rinse and repeat.

The best thing to do is operate blogs with great content it may not pay off
overnight but if you add an article every 1-2 days in the future you will have built a great set of assets that you can now sell.

There is a lot of good advice on this thread, but I want to leave my 2 cents...

To answer your question, yes, there are legitimate ways to make money online. Not one, but several.

However, everything demands time and/or money, you will have to invest one of these to succeed with whatever system you choose. If don't have at least one of them to invest, I recommend you to wait for a further moment.

I know this is not the answer you probably were expecting and I also know that many people here will disagree with me. I may be wrong, of course, but this is my honest opinion.

I've never seen someone to build a successful business, whether online or offline, without time and/or money. So you will need to get at least one of them before getting something going with IM.

Anyway, good luck with your ventures in both real and virtual world!

If I was out of work and the newest of newbies, I would look for a popular service or freelance service that is getting rave reviews, and see if you can do the same.

Go to where the popular trends are or a service that some are chomping at the bit to get.

I guess not every can do this, but it is not that hard really.

Then save up for your own website and hosting and go from there.

The best way to make some startup money is to offer a service. If you're good at writing, you can offer your writing services on Fiverr or here in Warrior Forum (just like me). It won't make you rich (unless you start your own company) but it will give you some money to pay for your online moneymaking ventures. It's hard to make money online if you worry about your next meal or the debts you need to pay, so make sure that your finances are in order before you try to make Internet marketing work.

You need to know the right people who will put you on the right path. Unfortunately 99% of the internet and most likely 99% of this site is looking towards it's own interest so they are selling you convoluted rhetoric that will inspire you perhaps but won't give you any money. I became involved with online marketing in 2004 and immediately began to make money. $200-$500 a day but it was all because I knew the right people who got me a job, who had me working for them and liked my work. Seems like the more desperate you are and the more you look for information the more it sets you back.

Don't buy anything. Change your attitude and focus instead.

Instead of focusing on your need to make money, focus on your target audience. What are their needs, how can I help them?

If you just focus on your own money needs, you are just like 99.99% of the others out there and you will just get ignored with the rest.

What is "a lot of time" to you?

Also, how much additional money each month are you looking for?

I generally recommend offering services as the best way to get started making money online.

That means you're trading time for money now, compared to marketing a product where you trade time or money and hopefully make money in the future because of it.

So you can write articles, do backlinking for other marketers, build websites, etc.

If you can make $20/hour writing articles and work 2 hours a day, that's an extra $40/day, or $1200/month if you can do it every day.

No it's not creating a passive income stream, but if you're just trying to get by right now $1200 is pretty nice!

You already lose 12hours , so you have only 12 hours to budget a day. How much sleep do you need OP?. I have kids too, so I know they will be 4-6 hours of your time. That leaves 6-8 hours left. If you only sleep 4 hours a day, that gives you 2-4 hours a work a day, or 14-28 hours a week. Therefore, you don't have a lot of time to dedicate to hard core IM at this stage. My suggestion is you find an interest or trade subject you know a lot about. Make a simple wp blog and write articles everyday. Take a little time in this forum and learn about SEO and put adsense on it. In a few months, you'll be doing ok with adsense, but now you'll have a body of work to show potential clients. You can start your article service to earn additional income...

Like a lot of the Warriors chiming in here, I feel for you. A few seemed to assume you needed to be told not to seek instant wealth, but your first post made clear that you know better-that is great news!

You will find a lot of stellar help here, but you need to be careful, because you will get lots of well intended advice which, if you tried to follow it all, would drive you crazy, and send you in 50 different directions, with no money resulting. Lots of the advice might even be awesome for creating results, but too many great models that might work for you will fail if you try to do them several at a time-don't ask me how I know this.

I suggest finding one or two friends that are willing to mentor you, who are experts in an area you think you'd enjoy, or even buying a WSO from a warrior with a fantastic reputation, who seems very responsive to clients. There are some WSOs selling memberships to sites where they offer ongoing support-a great idea for you imo. Once you pick something, follow that method, ask all the questions you need to, and make it work for you.

If you want it bad enough, and have the ability to focus, you could definitely make this work, and be in a much better position by a few months from now.

I will repeat it, at the risk of revealing that I'm the head of the "department of repetition and redundancy department" because if there is one single key to online (or offline) success, it is that you must FOCUS!

One thing at a time, one foot in front of the other, following a definite, doable plan, and don't obsess about the future. After you've set your 5 year, 1 year, 6 month, and 1 month goals, (once you find a method you're comfortable with, that excites and invigorates you), then plan your week in accordance with staying on track with the one month goal. Don't spend much time during the week worrying about the longer term-just try to focus on the week's activities.

In other words, plan for the future, but then live in the present, making your life less stressful, more pleasurable, and more productive. Only spend time thinking on the longer term plans during the one time a week you set aside for planning your week. That would also be the time to make any adjustments to your longer term goals.

Just one other suggestion: if you can afford it, join the Warroom, but again, just look for one teacher, one method, learn it, practice it, and ignore all the other rich ideas in that forum, unless they help you get better at your model.

For example, if you choose a WSO on how to set up a bunch of money making Wordpress affiliate review sites, and another thread offers a killer plug in that improves the look of your sites, or makes it easier to manage them, great, but don't be distracted by another thread on product creation, or offline marketing.

        • First of all is their any legitimate way to make money online. Let me think on that one for a minute. Of course their is. What are you passion about? What do you know? Internet Marketing is selling your knowledge, to others who don't know what you know. If you don't have time and want to make an extra $500 dollars a month? Here is an easy way to do it! Go to clickbank search for a product that you know something about! cooking, dancing, jumping higher, etc.. Make sure you find something that you passion about. Then look at the gravity of the product! What the gravity do, is it tell you, other people are successfully selling the product. Then you can go to blogger and setup a free blog if you don't have the cash to buy your own domain, which would be better. Blogger will work to start off until you start making some money! On the blog, you want to do a review of the product! Now you really need to invest in the product but if you don't have the cash then google the product and look for other people reviews and see what's the pros and the cons are. Then make sure you put your affiliate link through out the article.

Now once your create the page, you need some traffic! You have a couple of choices you can buy the traffic, you can redirect the traffic, or you can borrow the traffic.
          1. Thing you do is go to pingler.com, and ping your blog.
          2. Go to socialposter and social bookmark your blog.
          3. Go to facebook look for groups in your niche or start one and at people.
          4. Go Twitter and search and add people.
          5. Do up some flyers in your area and post all over town.

Do this 1hr a day for 30 days you will see some results!

Once you setup everything you can spend a day on the marketing of that one product.

Have any question feel free to ask.

Yes I know it's free-I was just rattling your cage a bit.

Thanks for confirming some of my thoughts-I still struggle with distractions big time, and have several irons in the fire right now. The best I seem to be able to do is to keep it down to 3-4 projects at a time instead of 10-15!

I bought another WSO today, but at least it's another angle and more info about something I have already committed to, and gotten some modest results with.

A lot of my posts are addressed as much to myself as anyone-if I always followed what I know I should do, I'd already be in the six figures, but like a lot of people, I'm still just trying to get momentum so I can go full time.

            3-4 is staying focused!!

Truthfully though, staying focused has been my BIGGEST issue since going full-time in 2005. It is VERY challenging to keep interest in a project for the long run! Every time I get a project built up, I get bored and sell it off. This is one of the main reasons that I preach going into a micro niche that is centered around a hobby or interest. If you go into it just for money you'll get burnt out on it too early!

FYI, this is the most FOCUSED I've ever been. Right now I'm ONLY working on my ecommerce coaching program! (Well, to be totally honest I'm spending 80% of my time on it! ). We do have other projects still (like an ecommerce store network & a shopping portal), but we have other people running them now!

Hi there. Actually, there are a lot of legit ways to make money from the internet. It depends on what you like. For example, if you like to design a website, create web design company. If you like to write a book, become a book writer. If you like to blog, create a blog and monetize that blog. You need to do something you like, don't do it for profit or you'll wind up bored. However, from my observation, affiliate marketing seems to be profitable than other else like adsense or CPA.

Also, if you're not tech savvy, try to learn things, read some books. When I first starting out, I didn't even know how to create a blog. But I wanted to learn, so I got some tutorial books from Amazon such as html tutorial, php tutorial, asp tutorial, C++ tutorial and more.

The best way to make money online when starting out is to use a specialized skill that you have an turn one of the systems that you have into a product.

Create a freebie list to get prospects and than followup with them with offers. Once they buy they go on a buyer list.

The best way to start is to remember to build a list of prosects that you can promote to over and over. This is a great way to make money.

If you don't have any products than consider promoting an affiliate program for only one week. If it does well continue promoting... if it doesnt either promote another product for another week or consider making your own product.

If both money and time are in short supply at the moment, I'd recommend starting by offering some simple IM service such as article writing. I know this doesn't sound exciting or motivational at all, but given your lack of tech skills, this is probably the best route for you to take in getting your feet wet with IM.

Now don't think this is a waste of time and all in vain. Being able to write good keyword-optimized articles is an important IM skill that will serve you well later on when you start building websites (which is pretty much going to be a necessity whichever route you take in IM). Sure, you could outsource them, but when you're on a shoestring budget, this skill will serve you very well when you're getting your first few websites off the ground.

Another great thing about offering article writing services is that the income comes pretty much immediately, and you can put that money to good use in purchasing relevant tools and IM resources. You'll not have to wait months for the money to trickle in, so just try to work diligently at offering your services initially, keeping in mind that you won't have to do this forever.

I understand the pain of being burned by the economic downturn. That got me a few years ago too.

If you haven't got a lot of money to invest, you really have to be willing to put in time and be patient. If you've got funds to invest then you can speed up your results via some of the methods out there but if not, then it may take hours & hours of persistent work. Sorry there isn't a catch all option out there that meets both of your requirements there. And since you aren't tech savvy, you need to outsource some of the techie things or put in the time to learn. (Fiverr is a good option by the way for affordably outsourcing some of that stuff like building banners or decent landing pages.)

There are a lot of solid money-making methods out there. Pick one & stick with it rather than jumping after the next shiny thing. If FB marketing appeals to you, then focus on reading the threads relating to FB ads & fan pages, etc. (There are several good ways to market via FB that don't require a big investment but you've got to be very, very active & consistent.)

Also, find automation tools to complement whatever you're doing. If it's a blog, set up news feeds to supplement your content. If social marketing is part of your strategy, get SocialOomph and use it to schedule posts, etc. You get the idea.

Offering a service to others is the fatest way of making money online. But it can be time consuming, unless you outsource it to someone else, for less than what you are charging and just oversee the whole thing.

Either way, you will be spending money for sure to make this happen, it does not have to be lots of money. Then you have to legally report your income and pay taxes on it.........

Selling design services, is one of the things I do, and it can be a very good income, what skills do you bring to the table? See if there are people in need of any of those skills. Then offer a QUALITY service of that skill to others on the forum. That of course requires a fee to post your services, but if it's a needed service and you do quality work, you will make money.
