How often do you buy domain names?

lately, the bugs been biting me daily....

its an expensive fix

    I had this same problem and initially spent a lot of money buying names that seemed great in the middle of the night. I was inspired by a post I read on DN Kitchen about the owner of Estibot who owns some 1,000 domains and sold one off for $7,500. He is a neurosurgeon by profession.

    You wouldn't believe how much of money you can end up spending on domain names. And I don't think it is as great an investment if you look at 3 word domains.

    I would say that you should learn to resist the urge. Commit to only buying 1 or 2 a week at most and think of your purchase carefully.

    Unfortunately there is no Domain Anonymous support group for assistance

    The cheapest I have found to be GoDaddy. They do have a special right now and they also say if you buy 6 at once you get a discount. I've been thinking about 6 new domain names but still can't decide. I am going to host them all on the same server at hostgator. This I have found to be the best deal and hostgator has a sale 20% plus if you buy for multiple years it's dirt cheap

      I buy domain names pretty often. It CAN be somewhat of an addiction. I love the creativity involved in finding a good name. But, I do my research before buying anything. I look for generic keyword domains, and I check out those keywords on the Google Adwords keyword tool, and on Google itself before making a purchase. I also look up the estimated value on Estibot. I only buy names I intend to use for one of my projects or for a client's website, or to flip on eBay.
