How would you increase pages/visit?

I am looking at a website which gets about 75K+ unique visitors each month, but page views are only 103K+ which makes it only 1.3 pages/visit.

If you owned that site then what would you do so that pages/visit increases to something like 3+. Interesting thing is that the site only has about 11% bounce rate.

How would you increase pages/visit?
#increase #pages or visit

What analytics program are you using? Because those two statistics just don't seem right together...

Unless your main landing page is extremely long, or contains a lot of video or audio? I.E. something to engage the visitor solely on that page for at least 15 mins (time dependent on the analytics that you're using.) If your visitors sit and watch a video on your main page for 15-30 mins and then leave the site, then they won't record as a bounce, despite only viewing one page.

I, too, think with an average of 1.3 pages the bounce rate should be higher. Isn't bounce rate a measure of how many people leave the site from the same page they arrived on?

This is for a site which is being sold on flippa. I am actually in google analytics myself (and not just looking at the picture), and that is what I am seeing. Strange thing is that earlier this year, bounce rate was around 80+% but then all of a sudden it dropped to 11%. Traffic from search engine only has a bounce rate of 2%, which to me is almost unbelievable.

So, I am thinking that maybe the owner of the site is doing something which is manipulating GA. What do you guys think?

I think the same as you. I'm no expert on this subject, but the information you've provided makes me very suspicious. It's clear there's something "not quite right" about this, surely?
