Newbie looking for advice on finding affiliates

I'm a newbie here, and I'm looking for some advice on finding affiliates for our product (business book summaries by video).

We've connected with a couple of CPA networks already, but don't have a ton of experience working with them. Any advice and/or recommendations you can make here would be great.

We have our own affiliate program, and any advice you can give us on how to get new affiliates signed on would be fantastic.

    It might be a good idea to search google on 'your keywords' + forum, then find a few top forums in your niche with highest traffic (can roughly judge by alexa rank), then go there and either look into job/work/services section where you can post your request or use their local paid advertisement methods such banners, text ads to be dsiplayed in specific subforums which are most likely to be read by affilates.

      I'm seconding the post above. Going to forums is a good idea. A work-at-home forum or a WAHM (work at home moms) would be a good way to start. You can also put it in your sig there, as well as banner, text ads, etc. Test and see which ones convert.
