All eggs in one basket....Internet Marketing?

Are you all investing your time and money only on Internet Marketing to make part-time or full-time money? If not what else you do?

I spend about 2 hours everyday which is distributed as 1 and 1/2 hours on IM and other 30 minutes on Gold and Stocks. Sometimes you hit a jackpot with Gold and stocks too, so I keep looking for right opportunities.

Do you think it is better to focus on only one of these as eventually it may give better results? Or multiple streams of income?

You should know never to put all your eggs in one basket if you have been investing in awhile. I do IM for fun but it is also my full time job.

    Hi:

    Shireen here :-)

I'm not an expert in gold & stock, can't give you any solid advice on this.

My personal opinion is IM is less risky compare to stock & gold :-)

I'm not sure if I completely agree. In terms of financial risk, a noob who thinks they can invest a few thousand dollars into IM (or whatever, even a few hundred) and expect a decent return is at a lot more risk for losing it all than someone who invests in gold. And, at least with securities, you've got an experienced corporation running the show whereas with IM it all comes down to the individual.

What I would agree with is the fact that it's a lot easier to get into IM than the stock market with very limited resources, which is attractive to many people. In the stock market, it's still possible to "get lucky" - in IM, you're never going to "get lucky" - you need to work for every last bit (obviously successful investors spend a lot of time researching, I know the game as I've been trading options for more than 10 years...)

So, in my opinion, the potential return on IM investments is a lot larger than that of investing in securities, but the risk of ruin is much larger as well.

With stocks you may be lucky once, may be twice, but in the long run, unless you are skilled you will be giving your returns back to the market. But then again this is no different to any other business, including IM, in the long run you need to be skilled to guarantee your future.

Good to see different opinions. Thanks.

I decided to buy few Gold bars in April 2011 and now the value of those Gold bars is up by about $6K as of today's price. Of course, the price will go up or down and I can't say that I made $6K or whatever amount till I sell them.

There are many IMers here who may be making this amount every month. But I see no harm in looking at small opportunities around.
